General Help

As a victim, I would like to say thank you to the guys who helped me in my case. What options do I have to do that with the police force? Im asking here because I've heard the giving gifts to police is not straight forward. So, I can't just drop of a box(huge box) of chocs at the front desk with a card, or can I ? What about writing a letter thanking the detective in charge of my case, who do I address it to, the chief of the police station? Any help, appreciated. cheers

To put it in basic terms, a work collegue of mine was pulled over as he took his phone off his passenger seat as the alarm was blaring away and his van is kitted with two hands free bluetooth devices so te alarm was sounding through the speakers. Hi all basic events and would like advice to pass on. Mother has children taken into care by SS. Court proceedings going forward for the kids to become wards to court/care. Grand Parents where fighting for custody through correct channels. circumstances changed no fault of GP's Mother of child has made threats via third party relating to the GP's such as "i wish they were dead or could kill them etc" I am not aware whether the threats where made over communications devices or directly. Hi, I posted on here a while ago about my housemate not paying me money he owes me, I tried being reasonable like was suggested on the comments but to no avail. Some of me thinks because he is from a culture where you respect your elders and never question them, it is difficult for him to accept and listen to what I tell him. Hi, does somebody know any successful example when suspended SIA licence was restored after court? Hi there I'm debating law with someone on a totally unrelated forum. A young woman on facebook made this comment about him when he annoyed one of her friends: "just ignore & block... or I can fix him up for u" He claims the "I can fix him up for u" comment represents a "violent threat" to him and is therefore an "arrestable offence". I have argued that the woman making the comment could be offering to fix him up with a date, or perm his hair. The young woman who made the comment has no "form" and is about as dangerous as a chocolate pudding. Will increasing my credit card limit affect my credit score?

I've just moved house and cancelled some of my subscriptions such as Sky, broadband etc from my old home. I was owed a refund from Sky of £16.64. Instead of refunding it to my bank account or send me a cheque like everyone else did, they have just sent a usual bill with a bank giro credit slip except it is in a negative amount. I've never seen one of these before, but something tells me I can't just walk into a bank or post office with it and they will then cough up the money over the counter? :new_no: Any ideas? I want to know if any one else has genuinley been approached by this man. This incident happened around a year ago, I and my 13 year old sister were extremely scared. This was an incident of extreme verbal abuse from a man in his 40's who had a threatening and violent nature. He was tall, well dressed/clean looking with greying hair and facial hair. Basically my study looks at what messages are sent by using fixed penalty notices (Including PNDs) and how this impacts on (whether it does or does not) the work of the magistrates court. Hi Guys, In a bit of a mess at the moment, my company recently figured out that i want to join the police full time when recruitment opens, they were aware of my status in the special constabulary and have never been too happy about it. Anyway since they found out that I want to join the police full time they have stopped all of my development and training, this means that even if I don't get into the police for 3/4 years I will have no further training which in the IT Industry is a huge issue. My Stepfather has quite a collection of replica hand guns (plus a replica sword) but he now wants rid of them. They were all bought from a proper dealers many many years ago and unfortunately that dealer is no longer in business. Earlier this week I was in my personal car driving into work to start a late shift when I came across a car that appeared to be broken down with some frontal damage on a very busy rural A class road, the vehicle was on a bend on a hill and was causing other road users considerable difficulties in passing in the face of on coming traffic.
