General Help

I sent an email to a very high manager Company Assistant CEO. and the reply I put on the an Internet forum. would this cause be any trouble would this be under computer missuse act? As I don't want it to spoil my app with TVP?

hi i have come on here to get some advice in our county (surrey) parking with two wheels on the kerb is permitted. The problem we have is the the whole street is double parked so if there was a fire the firebrigade would have problems getting down the road.We have been to the council which informed us as there are no parking restrictions people could park where thay liked. we have contacted the local police staition who sent a pcso down our road who advised the cars were not parked illegally as there are no parking restrictions on the road.

Basically I have been renting a flat since 02/10/10 via an estate agents. The contract is until 02/10/11. Throughout the time I've been renting the flat it has been in a terrible state. I've had no lights in my living room or bedroom since October (flat needs re-wiring apparently), the toilet is constantly breaking, water from the taps drips over the stairs and light switches, the windows are in a bad state, all the radiators are broken. The flat is a nightmare to live in. I've told both the landlord and agents about this, but nothing ever gets done, despite me paying rent on time since my contract started. Outside my house, up the road in a tree there is a strange looking device that looks sort of like a cctv camera. its sort of blended in with the leaves but at the moment its flashing and making a very loud siren noise. It's not near any houses or anything.. just wondering if anyone knows what it could be? or how to shut it up? cheers. Pete

Hi, my partner and i moved into our property back in August and around october time we were planting some laurel bushes in our garden, at which point out neighbour hung out of the side window shouting abuse at my partner and calling us theives of the land. as a result of that we have paid to have a plan drawn up by RICS based on historic title deeds and land registry documents. the plan was submitted by our solicitor to them back in may with us offering for us to pay for the fence (which is actually their responsibility by their deeds) never the less they didnt respond so we wrote to them again this week and said we would erecta fence as they havnt disputed the boundary …

Hello I am mid-way through my Specials training and have a question I am hoping for some clarity over. I went into my local supermarket and used the self-scan, I missed one item and on the way out was asked for my receipt. I obliged and showed them my receipt. The security guard noted that I failed to pay for the one item. The security then took me to the stores office and issued me with a letter banning me from all their supermarkets. The security guard proceeded to say that I will receive a letter for Civil Recovery where the issue will be taken forward and will have to pay a fine for the £3.25 product that was not scanned correctly. 1. Would anyone be able to offer a view on this one please? You're a member of an internet forum; in order to register you enter your name, date of birth, location. All is fine afterwards. A 3rd party approach the forum 'owner' and asked for confirmation that a forum user is a named individual. The forum owner gives out the information to the 3rd party. Is this illegal? If not what legislation are they (the forum owner) breaching? I believe this has happened to me, hence why I ask. Could someone give a personal view whether this is on or not. I did not give permission for my details to be given out on registering on the forum. Regards Bluebird.

Just ordered a replacement battery for my Garmin Nuvi 550 and received an email stating that the technical support team found out that it had a problem with the batch of battery model, therefore it couldn't be sold.Does anyone know of any reputable stores online that sell replacement batteries for the Garmin Nuvi 550. Please could someone help! This may seem really dumb.....i have these questions in my practice booklet!! 1. LENGTH X WIDTH X HEIGHT = 3.2 x 2.2 = 6.4 x 2 = 12.08 = Answer is 14.08 on calculator and in answer pages but how??????? 2. Same with this but slightly different 3.2 x 2.2 for the area - working it out myself (IN MY HEAD) ITS 6.4? but on the calculator its 7.08 - PLEASE explain!!

I'm completely naive to the laws around the work place, so I am just throwing this out there to see if anyone can help me. Basically I work in a foreign exchange bureau. The bureaus all have extremely bright lighting, I'm currently sat underneath 8 fluorescent tubes and five spotlights, all within an area of a few squared meters. I have to work using a computer all day, and must look out onto the street through a 2" thick bullet resistant glass window. When it goes dark and I'm sat under these spotlights, looking out onto a dark street it really strains my eyes. When I first started I used to get intense headaches and very sore eyes. I think this is the right place to post this ... Has anyone got any tips for interviews? Ive had 2 in as many weeks but I didnt get either job. According to the interviewers I dont sell myself enough. Just want to be prepared for when I next get one. Hopefully.
