Hi, I attended my day one and i was accepted, i have my fitness test etc next month. What seemed like a pipe dream at the beginning of the year now feels very very real. Being from Birmingham i will of course be required to move, does anyone have any general advise for people in similar situations to myself? I have elected to work in North London, specifically Islington as it is the only area i know somewhat well (being an Arsenal fan) and i figure it'll make getting home easier as i won't have to travel across London. My main concerns centre around accommodation as London is famous for its unforgiving rent prices (or so i have been told) is there a…

Drunk and Disorderly

Hello, when I was either 18 or 19 I was arrested, and pepper sprayed for being drunk and disorderly. Long story short I was escorting a very drunk friend to a taxi when a gang of guys decided it would be fun to kick my friends pizza out of his hands. an argument ensued between my friend and the other guys. whilst I tried to calm the situation down I was punched without provocation. Before I could even realise what was going on I had been pulled away from the area with my eyes on fire. I didn't throw a punch and genuinely just wanted to go home. The police when I got back to the cells commented on how polite I had been the whole time and let me off with a fine. I am not a …

Police drug test
by James1230981 *- 2 replies

Hi thanks for reading, I had recently applied for the police and after researching more about everything that can happen within the recruitment process I noticed that spontaneous drug misuse tests are issued. I’m an honest person looking for some advice on how I could go about addressing my problem; I had smoked cannabis in small quantities before the start of the year during the festive season for the first time. I isolate myself from trouble and the move was pretty silly on my behalf, I don’t associate with anybody and know that from my use of the substance I will or may test positive when tested. I’m pretty young only being 18, the move was stupendous and I feel …

The interview and subsequent data collected will be completely anonymous. Inclusion criteria: Participants are aged 18 and over Participants who are serving officers with mental ill health…

Basically, does anyone know anything about it? My wife set up a business back in 2014, and comissioned a logo for her website and social media. She has discovered yesterday that someone in South Africa has taken that logo and is using it on her Facebook business page, doing the same job as my wife. My wife has sent a message to this page giving her 24 hours to stop using it now and in the future, and that she and her graphic designer are not happy. How would she go about escalating this if needed? Facebook seem hard to contact to try and pull the page, is there anything else that can be done? I realise it may seem 'small potatoes', but she …
