A friend of mine has a cat. It's not a particularly friendly cat and can be quite aggressive towards other animals. Put it this way, I keep my distance. Recently a couple moved in over the road and started to encourage the cat into their house where they would pet it. They fed it chicken and salmon on a daily basis, and made a real fuss of it. After about a week, they completely changed their mind (probably on discovering the cat's true nature) and wanted nothing more to do with it. Obviously the cat, having now tasted 'the good life' has other ideas and is now doing everything it can to get into their house - often waiting by the door, occasionally crying at night,…

Afternoon all, My partner woke up this morning to a Facebook message from someone she used to go to school with, informing her that her brother had received a letter from the bank today containing his bank statement. Stapled to the back of her brothers statement was a letter addressed to my partner containing a breakdown of her bank accounts and all her bank details! Obviously the missus is livid, I just wondered if this had happened to anyone else and what action she could take. Quite a lucky coincidence that the details were sent to someone she knew, otherwise who knows where they could have ended up. Just to stress I am not asking for legal advice, just general advi…

Hi all, Just woundering what I could wear for a induction day at the police headquarters. It says on the sheet Smart/casual, But then it says no jeens? Anyone know what I could wear as I really do not own anything other then lots of jeens. Also It seems a bit strange too, as the role I am doing is not really a big role so I don't understand why we have been told no jeens. Sorry if the wording is bad.

Hello all, New to the site Ive passed my Day 2 for a PCSO role in the MPS. Now im just waiting for my start day to come round. Ive had it in my head that i will be able to stay at Hendon Police College to do training as i live 2 and a half hours away, but this seems to have changed as ive found out today you can no longer stay there while undergoing training. Has anyone else had the same issue in the past or present, or planning to rent and need a room mate at all? Bit stuck on options at the moment and was interested to see peoples experiences or any help. thanks

ok so there is a ford fiesta on my street that hasn't been moved for months (wheels have cobwebs and lots of debris build up in them), VED disc ran out in June 2012 and has a few possessions in the rear of it. I am in two minds whether or not to just report it online to DVLA and hope they have just not bothered with it. or call it in on 101 to check welfare of the RO of the vehicle. The possessions in the rear of the car are fairly valuable and i cant see why they would just leave them on plain view for months. what would you do?

Evening all Just a quick question for you all..... I'm a serving special and i've recently applied to G4S to do some casual stewarding work. I've been invited for interview but i'm not sure in hindsight whether it would conflict with my role as a special. I wouldnt have an SIA licence in the role as its just to support SIA licenced staff. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there, Not really sure where to post this topic, feel free to move if incorrect. Today my dad went to use his Motorola Xoom tablet PC, which we purchased exactly a year ago, as it was his birthday yesterday, and we purchased this tablet for his birthday last year. Basically, today he has come to use the tablet and it becomes very hot and the touch screen does not work. This tablet has not been dropped, damaged or exposed to water at any time. My question is, do I as a customer still have the right to return this product for an exchange/refund, as it has been just over a year ago since we purchased the product and we did not take out any extra cover on the device. Do…
