whisper2011 7
1. 3.2 x 2.2 is not 6.4. 3.2 x 2.0 = 6.40 3.2 x 2.2 =7.04 7.04 x 2= 14.08 How though! that's what i don't understand.. 3x2 = 6 and then .2 x .2 = .4 ? That is the bit that's throwing me i just can't get my head around how you get 7 out of it
GreenGerkin 1
How though! that's what i don't understand.. 3x2 = 6 and then .2 x .2 = .4 ? That is the bit that's throwing me i just can't get my head around how you get 7 out of it Ahh I see. Remember that the .2 needs to be multiplied by more than just .2 3.2 x 2.2 So, you need to do 3 x 2.2 = 6.6 Then 0.2 x 2 + 0.2 x 0.2 = 0.4 + 0.04 = 0.44 6.6 + 0.44 = 7.04 7.04 x 2 = 14.

Wrighty112 0
I'm going back 10 years from when i done math so i might be wrong, lol... but because there .2 as in a minus number when you add them together you move the decimal point one to the left.
