Hello all, I am trying to arrange a family holiday to florida in the first half of next year, I know it is a very popular place to go so I thought I would ask for inspiration from anyone who has been or is going! At the moment we are looking at about 10 adults and no children going. Im thinking around easter time ish (but not when the schools are out as I know they put the prices up then) I am hoping to get a large apartment/villa we can all stay in together and probably visit some but not all of the theme parks. Okay, I am looking to purchase a Yamaha YZF-R125, it will be my first bike, and I am 18 years old! I have a few questions, as when I Google them, they come back with answers but they aren't very clear, so if someone could answer them for me that would be great! Right: 1 - I have a Full UK driving licence, in order to drive a 125cc motorbike, is the only test I need to complete the CBT test? 2 - Is it possible to get from Leeds to London on a 125cc bike? 3 - Can I drive the motorbike on the motorway? Hi all, I'm currently looking for car insurance and have come across co-ops 'Smartbox' insurance. Basically, they fit a box to your car (apparently it's the size of a mobile phone) and it monitors your breaking/accelerating, how fast you take corners, the speeds you do on different types of road and whether you drive between 23:00 - 6:00. Although it sounds a little intrusive, it's the cheapest way for getting car insurance at my age (17). I've checked everywhere else and the quotes are ridiculous. Now, I will be choosing to pay monthly as I do not have the money up front. But, it tells me that I have to pay a £243.19 deposit followed by 10 monthly instalments of £61…

Just out of interest really, does your car insurance come down massively once you attest? I cant complain really with one year NCD i have a 10' plate suzuki alto which costs me only 1,100 Per Year (Im 18 aswell), thats fully comp with business insurance, but does your insurance tend to go up or down or stay the same when you declare your a SC? Hi To cut a long story short my GF had her car broken into and then set alight a few weeks back when she had parked it in a car park for the night. (parking is rubbish where we live so best option) We filed a claim and the insurance made their initial offer for the car (approx £1100) which, after taking extortionate excesses and the rest of her premium, ended with them saying she owes them about £80. Hi I was insured and wrote of my car. It appears I still have to pay the residue of the insurance because it was a fault claim and I insured through a broker who had paid the insurance in full. I didn't know this and 6 months later they (Deeside Brokers) contacted me, so here I am a year later paying £50 per month to clear the £190 outstanding. If you were to forget about paying congestion zone (yes I am one of those unfortunately! why don't they allow you a period after midnight to pay rather than give you the fine straight away?

Im 17 and learning to drive, Ive being looking at insurance quotes and I'm getting an average of £2500 for a years cover on cars ranging from 1-1.6 litre cars that are worth between a £1000 - £1500 and thats with my dad as a named driver! Am I doing something wrong? Is it really that expensive?

Hi I am going to need to borrow a parents car in the not to distant future, but only for a weekend. (It is a 1.8 Petrol Ford Focus X Reg) I am 18, and have held my licence for 13 months, although never been insured on any car other than the instructors. (Only drove instructors car when learning) I have had a look around and cannot find any firm to insure me as most want you to be 21/25+ I was just wondering if anyone knows of anyone who are likely to insure me for the weekend. Hi everyone, I'm off to Honduras on a Biology/conservation expedition with Operation Wallacea in a few months. I'm starting to buy my equipment and need a few items, I was wondering if any of you have been to similar locations and can reccomend products... Here's what I need: Trousers (light, full length- maybe zips) Head Torch- saw the £13 on Patrol store- any good for night time activities? Various other bits of equipment to make my expedition a but more confortable e.g. DEET, medical kits etc. Obviously i'd prefer cheaper stuff, but quality is the most important factor, I think. Forgive me if i'm being a bit thick, i'm going to be training for my PCV licence next month when i start my new job, i've tried making sense out of the DVLA booklet that has the different categories in it and can't, what i've been trying to work out is whether once i've passed my test will the category D cover me for vehicles which need a D1 entitlement.

Hi, I belive someone to be using a hgv lorry on the public highway with out the nessassry licences to opperate the lorry. The lorry is a 7.5t Horsebox, the lorry is used as part of their bussiness of selling horses, mainly taking their ones to aution etc. The lorry does not have a `o` licence displayed (restricted etc), also no tacos or a written log book is kept for the journey. also the owner is most likely not to have a licence from DEFRA to transport livestock by lorry on the road. Since the laws have changed I had to sell my lorry as I would have been unable to afforward the costs involved and moved to trailer. Yet there are still people getting away with it. …
