Just out of interest really, does your car insurance come down massively once you attest? I cant complain really with one year NCD i have a 10' plate suzuki alto which costs me only 1,100 Per Year (Im 18 aswell), thats fully comp with business insurance, but does your insurance tend to go up or down or stay the same when you declare your a SC?

BTW; I havent finished the application stage yet, it was purely out of interest.

Cheers,

Alex

I generally can't see why insurance would be affected?

Just because you're a police officer does not mean you're a safe driver.

Maybe, it may apply to BTP but I don't see how you being an SC would change anything,

That just makes it sound like anyone who isn't an SC, deserves high insurance because they have not been trained to be honest.

Sorry if it sounded that way, it was just purely out of interest.

I honeslty don't see how joining up as an SC is going to affect anyone's insurance (car?)...

What gives you that idea?

It was more on the basis of having an extra activity to use your car for, i thought it would possibly increase. Or later on in the career to gain some of the advance driving tickets would cause it to decrease? I was just hazarding a guess! :)

Read the thread about driving tickets...

The courses are rare.

Your car is not really being used for any other purposes than travelling to and from a 'car park'.

The same as most people use cars for...
