Hi guys, I'm trying to play some CCTV footage that was burnt from the security system at work. It's an AVI IMM5 file. It plays straight away on the works computer with windows media player, but at home I get no luck. I have tried every player out there and can't get it to play. I've downloaded a k-lite codec pack and still no joy. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi all Google Chrome has started (in the past day or so) acting funny. I have a bar appear on every page/tab of about 2.5 cm (1inch) at the bottom of every screen/tab. It flickers on and off very rapidly and this makes the whole screenflicker up and down rapidly. I have done a number of searches and there appears to be a lot of pages mentioning a flickering problem but none seem to fit my issue. This is only affecting my main PC and not my netbook. Whilst trying to find a solution I am using IE7, however, this is now trying to automatically re direct me to somewhere called iamwired.com I have run a couple of Malwarebytes scans and scanned with Avast! but nothing is …

Can anyone help me please on how to get rid of the following virus. I am NOT a computer person and any explanation will have to be in lamens terms....sorry!!! Is it possible to use an ipad app on my laptop? Will I need an emulator? I want to use an app but its only available on iphone ipad and android and I dont have any of those!

I want to create a mail group on Windows Live Mail. But I understand all the recipients will be able to see the names and e‑mail addresses of the other recipients. Is there anyway around this?

OK, so here is the situation. Our ISP is XLN. We are on a 10GB Monthly allowance. About 8 days into the month, we receive an email stating we are close to our download limit (About 8GB). Two days later, they email us and say we have reached our 10GB limit. So thats 1GB a day right? Then they charge £4 per every 5GB over our usual allowance. We are only being charged £4. SO what they are saying is that in the first 10 days, we use 1GB/Day, but after that we hardly use any, yet we use the internet just the same afterwards! Hi all, My PC keeps freezing throughout the day. The screen goes grey and i cannot click on anything. But my mouse moves and I can swap between open windows/application. However it will not open any new applications or windows. Im about to throw the BT home hub out of the window, so if anyone in Leicestershire wants one!!! Anyway, about 2 weeks ago the internet at my home went really slow (Wouldn't play any videos online without buffering all the way through!) And just general surfing on the net including this site was being noticeably slow. There are quite a few devices connected to the wi-fi, (computer, laptop, phones etc.) And there's never been a problem! A few weeks back I got a new iMac and all was well, but a couple of days ago it started losing the internet connection when reactivated after being in sleep mode. It still appears to be connected to the router but no internet, there is no issue with iPhones, iPads, phones, laptops, PS3, they're all connected fine. Only work-around I've found is to turn the wireless off then on, and it immediately connects to the router and has the internet again. Any ideas why this may have just started happening..?

This is a problem I have had for a few years but I can take it no longer!! I bought C&C Red Alert when it first came out and played it to death on my old 486. I then moved on to playing Age Of Empires and even bought a new PC to play it on such was my love for these games. The new pc was great until after owning it for a few years it broke and we had it repaired (about half of the components were replaced and Windows XP was put onto it) after the repair I had grown out of playing Red Alert so didnt try to play it until some years later but it then wouldnt run. Age of Empires was the same and wouldnt work. That pc is still at my parents house but I cant get them …

so i have had my samsung r700 laptop for about 3 years. recently i had to fiddle about with the plugged in charger in order for it to charge similar to finding the right position for reception with the old tv aerials. more recently it wouldnt charge at all. bought a new charger lead and power pack.... no change. bought a new battery... no change. Im beginning to think it may be the power jack in the laptop. my question is whether there may be another reason my laptop wont charge and if it is the power jack how do i go about replacing it myself and if not possible without specialist tools and knowledge how much do you think it will cost to get it repaired. cheers

Since using Google Chrome, I appear to be getting alot more DNS error pages popping up when searching for web pages. I called up BT who did a few tests and said my line was in perfect working order. I don't get these DNS errors on Safari or IE9 Is this a common problem with Google Chrome?

Can someone help please. I'm a training coordinator, and arrange funding etc I need to create a database on excel or access 2003. For the budget. For example someone wants to do an business and admin NVQ the cost is 1,500. Is there a way of just adding a names and it will deduct from a total figure?
