I'd like to have a play with getting into programming and am wondering what type of programming to have a go at? I've looked at C++ and Java but I'm wondering if these may soon be obsolete and a new type of programming will be out? What would people recommend I try out? Is C++ still a popular tool?

Hiya! Here is the problem - my old Windows XP that I use here at work which is about 2004 vintage is on it's last legs. I have ordered a new PC but lots of the programmes I use have stored passwords and I can't remember what they are so I can install these programmes on the new PC. I have seen software like Asterix Logger, but I installed this and had no idea what to do with it as it looks really complicated! What I want to do is print out a list of all the passwords on the programmes on the PC. Any ideas?

I've downloaded the new iTunes 10. However I'm also trying to update the firmware on my iPhone and I keep getting the below message once the software update is completed : There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. The connection network timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct, and your network connection is active. I don't have a problem in regards to downloading anything, expect when dealing with iTune. Any clues folks????

I usually use Serif Drawplus SE Pro for graphics, the title may be misleading though, as it is not a pro piece of software. Pro - defines it from the lower version of it. I was reccomended to Adobe Fireworks, which I would consider a more professional piece of software, however the rendering (export/output) is not too familiar. I have the option of 1. File > Save As 2. File > Export When I export the image, I am not given a choice of export dimensions for the image to be. Serif always gives me that. I guess that the final size of the image, once exported, is the same as the clipboard dimensions. Am I correct there? (or a Vector by default) It has become a…

Hi I currently have my personal email with Yahoo but I am not entirely unconvinced that it is via Yahoo that we have had our latest virus at home. This is the second one. I have been getting some dubious emails from contacts, one of which I opened as I know the person, communicate regularly by email but by the time I realised it was probably too late. Anyway, virus is cleared and I am going to set up a new email account and wondered if there were any recommendations. I know it's never totally secure but it's worth a try. We've also been recommended MAC but I am not sure of the difference and Mr Merlin and I have agreed that if it happens again we are going to loo…
