Administrative Account 7
Hi all, There is a forum that has just started to use Flash advertising that is driving mad because I can't get rid of it, ad-block plus doesn't seem to be getting rid of it. Any ideas?
Bravo Sierra + 263
Firefox - Install Firefox Addon - no-script (will need to enable alot of pages to work properly but works very very well from any nasties!) Firefox is the future - Stop using IE, It's slow rubbish and just crashes all the time (though i thought i'd never say that in my life) Edited August 23, 2010 by LOGiCALX

Bravo Sierra + 263
Good man, let us know how you get on. To allow a page either click Temp. Allow, or always allow this page depending on what you want, or even you can just click what ever is disabled and allow that one thing on the page!. AlexTheKnightUK 11
You can also get the addons adblock plus and flashblock for firefox, I'd be lost without them. *Edited for grammar and spelling mistakes. watp 2
You can also use Kaspersky Internet Security, which has an adblocker in it (which works on all browsers, no addons required). You can also use your HOSTS file, to block specific sites. http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Burnsy2023 2,895
You can also use your HOSTS file, to block specific sites. http://www.mvps.org/...p2002/hosts.htm I'd avoid changing HOSTS entries if you can. There are better ways of blocking content.
