yellowombat 0
http://handbrake.fr/ Defiantly this, its a bit of free software to download, I use it all the time and it's so simple! Just download and install Put in DVD click source Click start! You can also chose the options on the right hand side to put it into ipod size files etc. Once the disk is finished ripping in itunes menu click import and put the video in, should work! GordonH 787
Not a free solution but I use AnyDVD and CloneDVDmobile from SlySoft http://www.slysoft.com/en/ It works on protected DVDs as well.

Wcarnby 196
Apparently Handbrake has to be hosted in France, as it is illegal in the States.
Merlin820 32
Downloaded Handbrake. It then told me it needed a .Net framework which I downloaded. So far so good. Then said it needed a WIC, took me to Microsoft Download centre with about 15 options so I have now given up.
Sam Vimes 0
I use Handbrake but also bought a program by Cucusoft; http://www.cucusoft.com/download.aspx I have them for putting movies on my iPad and iPhone so didn't mind spending a few quid to have a decent program as i'll easy get my money's worth from it (and already have!)
