In an act of Karma he collected the tyres and returned them to the tipper by depositing them in the illegal tippers front garden. Now playing Devils advocate, a little, was the farmer tipping or just delivering a property to the owner? Now Haydock is Merseyside but it is situated by Newton Le Willows and might be located in Merseyside or Lancashire. Beaker will know.

Good Afternoon all, I’m a current serving Special Constable and have been for over 2 and a half years. I applied for a PC role in another force but I failed their vetting. All I was told was that “your integrity was not an issue in this process”. I was caught speeding In 2018 by my Home Force that I special for and was told to go on a speed awareness course (Bare in mind this was soon after I had just finished training and attested so I was very new at the time). I have a Police Officer application in with Police Scotland and a confirmed place at a University. I was wondering though, if I were successful getting into the Police and I fancied trying for the OU at some point after the 2 year probation, would anyone reckon it would be achievable? although of course a lot of dedication would be required. I know it's early days but it's just a wee thought.

Our Chief Constable was on the news the other day, part of a report that had included an arrested person being violent and abusive in custody and then in hospital later (!). During it he said: "... this is not part of the job", (as in being assaulted, hurt, stabbed, shot, run over etc is not part of the job). I was quite surprised at that, as throughout the existence of the police, there has always been violence, some extreme, directed towards them. Sometimes for just wearing the uniform, but mostly because they are stopping people break the law and to do as they please. I know in my force they are completed for fail to stops and injury RTCs. Are they supposed to be completed in any other circumstances e.g. when drink driving or driver disqualifcation is established? I'm not sure if there is a universal policy on this matter or if it is force-specific...

I suspect this one has probably been touched on before but the process of contemp note interviews and reporting offenders...is there a restriction on when this can be used I.e. summary only offences ?

Good evening/good morning I am just after some advice in relation to transferring to the Met. I am currently a response officer for a home office force. I have been a PC for 4 years. I started as a special, obtaining independent patrol status, meaning when I joined up full time, I automatically started one pay scale 1, instead of pay scale 0. I am currently on pay scale 5. Can someone tell me what my salary would be if I was to transfer? I do not live in London. Hi all, Growing up in Perth, Scotland I was always curious as to why male officers up here didn’t wear the traditional custodian helmet. After some research, it seems they were phased out in the late 1950s, apparently due to the bad weather. Somewhat hard to believe, as I hear it can rain pretty heavy down South too! In days gone by, these helmets provided the only form of protection for most officers. They’re not hard hats by any stretch, but I’d probably feel safer wearing one. I imagine they can probably be quite uncomfortable after long periods of use. Some people consider them outdated, but I wonder if it would be worth re-introducing them …
