Gareth Browning Police Constable Thames Valley Police Died 1st April 2017, aged 36 On 30 November 2013 he was deploying a Stinger device to stop a stolen car being pursued by Police when he was hit by the vehicle. He sustained severe injuries which ultimately proved fatal.

Keith Palmer GM Police Constable Metropolitan Police Died 22nd March 2017, aged 48 Tackling a terrorist armed with two knives who had entered the Palace of Westminster he sustained fatal stab wounds prior to the man being shot by other officers. Keith had 15 years service, having previously served in the Territorial Support Group he was assigned to the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command of the Metropolitan Police. He is survived by his wife and their daughter. Posthumously awarded the George Medal for Gallantry.

She was rushed to the New Free Hospital from the scene but did not recover. Adele joined the Metropolitan in 2006 and was initially stationed in Wandsworth. In 2010 she moved to Camden as a Detective Constable.

Iain Stuart McLay Police Sergeant Metropolitan Police Died 2 November 2009, aged 42 Fatally injured while travelling to report for duty in the early morning when his motorcyle was involved in a road traffic collision at Lewisham. Iain was appointed in February 1986 and was attached to the Specialist Crime Directorate Intelligence Bureau having previously served with the Territorial Support Group. He is survived by his wife and daughter aged 22 months; his parents and brother.

Neil Jeffrys Police Constable Strathclyde Police Died 2 November 2011, aged 49 He died of injuries sustained on 16 August 2002, while driving an unmarked police car at Loch Lomond, which was struck head on by a vehicle on the wrong side of the road, killing his colleague Police Constable Jim Clarke, and causing head injuries from which he remained hospitalised until his death. Neil had joined the Force in August 1991 and at the time of his injury had been based in the Road Policing Unit at Govan. He is survived by his wife, a serving officer, three daughters, his mother and sister.

Ian James Morton Detective Constable Dorset Police Died 26 October 2008, aged 32 Died in a road traffic accident while travelling to report for duty at Bournemouth, in the early morning, when his vehicle left the road and crashed into the wall of a bungalow at Highcliffe. Ian was appointed to the Force in January 2000 and since January 2007 had been a member of the CID at Bournemouth Police Station. He is survived by his parents, his sister and his partner.

David and his colleague made efforts to stop the vehicle on the A5139 Dock Road, the vehicle mounted the central reservation and struck David. He was taken to Wirral's Arrowe Park Hospital but had sustained fatal injuries. He is survived by his wife and their two daughters.
