    Gary Andrew TomsPolice Constable Metropolitan Police Died 17 April 2009, aged 37 Following a robbery at a house in Dagenham early on the morning of 11 April, armed response officers pursued a suspect car into a road in Newham, East London, and whilst attempting to stop and arrest the escaping suspects, PCToms sustained severe head injuries from which he later died in hospital.     Russell Wylie Police Constable Humberside Police Died 14th April 2015, aged 28 During the morning of Monday 13th April 2015 he was on routine motorcycle patrol when both and his colleague were involved in a collision with a car on the B1362, Burstwick, East Yorkshire. He was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary, however his injuries proved to be fatal. He was a Traffic Officer based at Melton. He is survived by his parents and fiancée.

    Michael Chapman Police Constable West Midlands Police Died 14th April 2014, aged 48 Having cycled into work for a late shift he become unwell, he was rushed to hospital but suffered a fatal heart attack. Mick joined West Midlands Police in 1998 and served on D3 at Stechford police station and Acocks Green police station. His most recent post was on the Yardley community action and priority team (CAPT) on Birmingham east local policing unit. He was also a Federation Representative. He is survived by his wife Jayne and two daughters Paige and Grace.

    Sean Peter McColgan Police Constable Metropolitan Police Died 6 April 2010, aged 37 Died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car, in the late evening at Denham, whilst he was travelling home from duty at Hillingdon Borough. Sean served as a Special Constable with Thames Valley Police prior to joining the Metropolitan Police in June 2003 where he worked from Hayes Police Station. He is survived by his wife and 1 year old son.

    Steve RawsonPolice ConstableHampshire ConstabularyDied 3rd April 2013, aged 40 Whilst riding an unmarked police motorcycle in Swaythling he was involved in a collision with another car around 2pm. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but efforts to revive him failed. Steve had joined Hampshire Constabulary as a police officer in 2003, initially posted to a neighbourhood team before moving to the Major Investigation Team in 2007. Steve had previously been a member of police staff. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

    Ronan KerrConstablePolice Service of Northern IrelandDied 2 April 2011, aged 25 Killed by a terrorist bomb, which exploded under his car outside his home in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, as he was about to set off to report for duty in Enniskillen. Ronan entered the police training college at Garnerville in May 2010. He began his on the job training in F District in December 2010. He first joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Enniskillen before moving to a response role at the end of March 2011. He is survived by his widowed mother, sister and two brothers.

    Jonathan Paul Wade Police Constable West Midlands Police Died 12th March 2007, aged 39 Collapsed and died of heart failure de-briefing a self defence exercise while instructing an officer safety course at the Police Training Centre, Birmingham. Jonathan was appointed in January 1998 and was stationed at Edward Road on the Neighbourhood Policing Team where he had been commended four times for good police work. A self defence instructor, he had not one day off duty through sickness in five years.

    Kevin StoodleyPolice ConstableAvon & Somerset ConstabularyDied 11th March 2015, aged 41 He was on duty in Frome when he became unwell. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly afterwards. He joined Avon & Somerset Constabulary in 2003, he worked in Street, Shepton Mallet and Frome. He was one of 22 officers from Avon & Somerset Constabulary who provided mutual aid to the Police Service of Northern Ireland in 2013. He is survived by his wife, two sons and daughter.

    Stephen Paul Carroll Constable Police Service of Northern Ireland Died 9 March 2009, aged 48 During the late evening officers responded to a call for help from a member of the public at Craigavon in County Armagh; Constable Carroll and colleagues were providing backup for officers at the scene when shots were fired through the rear window of their unmarked car and he was hit in the head and killed.     David John Rathband Police Constable Northumbria Police Died 29th February 2012, aged 44 On Sunday 4th July 2010 David was sat stationary in a patrol car, single crewed, on the outskirts of Newcastle. A lone gunman approached and using a shotgun shot David twice through the vehicle windows, leaving him for dead the gunman fled. David underwent extensive medical treatment, his eyesight couldn't be saved but he recovered and remained a police officer with Northumbria Police.     Laura Ruth Williams Police Constable Metropolitan Police Died 19 February 2009, aged 41 Collapsed and fell unconscious while on duty at Greenwich Park Police Station, she was taken to hospital but died in the early hours of the following day, having suffered a brain haemorrhage.     Terry Easterby Detective Sergeant Kent Police Died 25 February 2011, aged 51 Died when his motorcycle was involved in a three vehicle collision at Rainham while travelling to report for day duty at Medway.
