From Facebook, but copied here as not everyone has FB: I think that this is an important attitude change from the police - this is the 3rd quite graphic image released recently that is helping to highlight the risks that the police face on a day to day basis. It is very easy for bystanders and the general public to accuse us of brutality and/or over-reacting re. use of force, especially in the Monday morning de-briefs by uninformed elements on social media and in the press. It is good that when this does happen (and it happens far more than gets publicised) there are certain shocking images that might give Joe Public pause to think about the consequences of not taking decisive and positive action. edit: Just notice that they are a Taser officer too.- 6 replies
