Metropolitan Police (London)

I'm not intending to work in criminal law. On the Met police website, it says that you cannot apply if you're a barrister, but what if you apply when you're still a student or in training? Will they ask you to leave once you qualify? Is there a particular reason barristers can't apply as long as they don't work for the CPS?

I know they don't allow barristers to apply, but what if I'm a student considering a career as a barrister? If I apply and am accepted, will they make me leave once I become a barrister? Or will they let me continue? Does anyone know why barristers aren't allowed?

There have been lots of questions lately re Borough Choices for new PCs - in particular people are wanting to know what the new groups are for posting preferences, so I thought it would help to create a new thread with this information at the top. New PCs joining the Met now have to pick three groups of Boroughs where they would prefer to work. The Met does not offer 6 choices of individual Boroughs anymore. You now simply pick your three preferences from a list of 11 groups and list them in order of 1, 2, 3. You don't get any more input than that during recruitment. Hi there. Basically, I have to digitally sign a secure PDF document which only opens with Acrobat Reader CC. I have filled the form out with my information, as it requested, but for some reason, I'm unable to sign it. I have tried using the sign and certificate tools, but they're greyed out, so I can't. I have also tried opening it with another software, but it gives me an error message and tells me to open it with this. Does anyone know how I can digitally sign this? Please note that I am not able to print it and scan it after signing it.

Afternoon there, guys and girls. I've just submitted my application for the role of a Special Constable. Around this time last year, I sadly dropped out due to a member of my family being terminally ill. So, I am now ready to get cracking. Do you guys think they'll get back to me within 4 weeks with a Day 1/2 seeing as I dropped out before my training even commenced? And also, would they take into consideration that I previously passed my Day 1? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Anyone on here have an up to date NCALT List? I have one somewhere in my work email, but can't get it until I'm next at the station. Only got a few that I've been putting off, but can't remember what ones for the life of me.
