Hi all, With the Met HR and IT systems being updated, I have just been advised by the MSC Recruitment team that they are now advising all Special applicants to phone the MSC Recruitment team direct, step from the normal Met Careers number. They will be updating their websites, but this will take some time I am hold. So to help all PS.com members applying for the Met, the number is below. Metropolitan Police Special Constable Recruitment Team: 0208 358 0344 Could a mod pin this so it is clear and saved in the forum.

If all of it are indeed are multiple choice questions, how can someone fails if he revises to his best? I got my first day at Hendon, tomorrow! Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys, Right, I am trying to book myself onto an OST 28 course but there's no spaces left on any of the courses so I've booked onto 27 for the beginning of April and now I'm a little worried that I'm going to need to do a separate ELS course. It's just so difficult for me to do weekday courses, I've only just finished training and did ELS and OST quite late into my training and I've spoken to my Sargent and she said it should be okay but I'm not too sure... Any helpful advice would be good Anyone else been in this situation?? Thanks in advance :D

Hi all. First off sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I thought as I am trying to get into the Met CID it was most appropriate. Anyways... So I'm finishing college now and have lodged my interest for the new recruitment in the new year, but for now after my exams I'm going to apply to be a special and just work until the new year- which is fine by me :) I have good GCSE grades and A levels(hopefully), though I'm aware that you don't need any formal qualifications as such for the police- but good grades can't hurt can they? So my aim is, and has been for a while, to join CID- just wondering what you guys think is it worth it, what's your experience with CID in the…

Hello all I have been enrolled onto the MPS specials training course and it feels great to know the application is processing along. However there is the possibility that further down the line, I may be offered a prestigious graduate job overseas. Of course I am planning to continue with the met police specials, even if it puts me a difficult position of deciding. But I was curious to see if there is anyway to discontinue my service or "pause" it. Meaning that I could take a graduate job, and return to the MPS one day in the future. Or will this be a problem, due to training developments and allocation for boroughs ? This is an unlikely situation but I like to be forwa…

Just read in the BTP forum that the Deputy Chief Officer for the MSC has sent an e-mail around the MSC saying that Met Specials and Met PCs are being issued with Oyster cards and that warrant cards will not be valid for travel from 1st August. Can anyone confirm? It would be nice not to have to stand and wait at the gate for agers. It will also be nice to be able to terminate the Oyster cards of those Specials who don't keep up with their hours, so they don't continue to be able to abuse the free travel.

Hi all! At what point of your service do you receive the free travel benefit? Is it from the start of your training or on passing out? Cheers
