Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldnt find it in the first couple of pages of search results. Does anyone have any recent or current experience of living in paddington green section house? just been offered this one for my April start date, and its the only one with space left. Is it any good or will I better off looking for some place else? Cheers, Andrew

Intake date - May 26th for the role of police constable I have been asked by recruitment to confirm my 6 boroughs and I would like some advice... MY REQUIREMENTS Easy travel from Lambeth - no car, so bus reliant Busy station which is very challenging Good career/promotion prospects A borough with 'a lot of everything' in terms of crimes SHORTLISTED 1) Southwark 2) Camden 3) Lewisham 4) Islington 5) Wandsworth 6) Westminster What do people think about my chosen 6 and should I consider any others? I had thought about putting Lambeth in as I know that some officers do work and live in the same borough but as a female, I'm not sure it would be a wise thing. Doe…

Hi all, If anyone has any knowledge of Towe Hamlets, I have a few questions, if you can help. Im currently a PC in a HO force but will soon be transfering to the Met, I have been lucky and got my first choice, Tower Hamlets. I have been in the job for about 27 months and still not response; I was wondering what the waiting time is in the borough for a response ticket, whether it will be 3 years or 3 months? I believe they work 12 hour shifts and was wondering if there is any oportunity for over time on rest days? Last but not least, what are the most common crimes they deal with? Any help appreciated.

Hello, I am looking at doing traffic in the near future but currently in my force you have to be an advanced driver, that would'nt be to much of a problem normally but I have a permanent eye injury that makes me medically unfit to take the advanced course but fit to do everything else, can anyone tell me do you have to hold an advanced driving ticket in the Met traffic dept or can you be a none driver? Thanks in advance

On my Day 2 assessment recently I noticed an advert up for the Police Judo club in the gym. As we were being hurried along I didn't have time to read it properly or check out the facilities. Does anyone know if there is there a club operating at the Hendon training centre?

Just wondering if anyone in the same app intake as myself has heard anything or have an idea on what time line until we start getting pass/fail paper sift? I found out the other day (because of a misstake i made) that i had passed paper sift and just needed my criminal record check to come back. But then after reading a post similar, all that they were doing was checking of the application before being marked. Is this the process? Does anyone know how long the Met is taking to mark and then inform? Anyone had a similar phone call, and did u ask where you were in the stage?? Thanks Rob.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what the Met police policy is on employing people with a previous conviction for drugs offences. It happened ten years ago and i was arrested for possession of cannabis resin, I think it was a class c at the time. How do the met see this? do they ignore it after a certain time period? Any info appreciated. Andrew.

Are there any met officers on here who live in Reading? What boroughs are the best to work in? How do you find the work/life balance? Do you ever have trouble with transport in or out of work?
