Hello all! A quick question: How long did many of you have to wait from your day one to hearing anything? (The wait is a killer!) Regards

Due to the original pack never reaching me, resulting in my phoning because I couldn't wait to find out if I'd passed the paper sift, I now have a Day 1 A/C of 2 June which is right in the middle of my final Uni exams. Does anyone have any idea if I could (a) defer the date and (b) how long I might have to wait for another date?

Hi guys, ive looked all over the met webiste and googled quite alot. It says you can either apply online, apply to an advert in local paper, or at a recruitment fair. Ive looked but i cant seem to find where you can apply online, and i see that you cant download a paper form like for PCSOs. But so does anyone know if you can still apply online? Or if you cant does anyone know when the next recruitment fair event is?? :) And does anyone know what the recruitment fairs are actually like?? Cos i know that my mind is never happy unless it has something to worry about! lol And so its taken this on as its latest thing to worry about now. But the only sort of recruit…

Ok, here's what i wrote in my app form! Any feedback will be much appreciated! Discriminatory, Bullying or Insensitive (i)About the situation, the people involved In my A level psychology class there was a girl who had to re-sit the whole year, because she had attained a poor grade in the previous year. After the first few lessons it was quite apparent that she was not coping as well as the other people in my class. Person A then decided to make hurtful comments which at first didn’t seem to be causing the girl any embarrassment. After a few lessons however the comments had progressively become worse and more people had joined in. (ii) What did you say, and do …

Hey Guys, Well, after getting to Peel House for 7.30, I was pleased to get home after a long train journey. I actually enjoyed my day, they are very helpful and extremely slick and professional. I now have the agonising wait to see how I did. To EVERYONE who is going to be doing theirs. Good luck to all. Enjoy the day for what it is and do your very best, that is all you can do. Cheers, Phil

Can anyone help? I'm starting (MET) May 26th but have recently severed my collarbone ligaments (clavicle is dislocated) and while I will have full arm/shoulder movement by the end of May (currently having physio) I won't be back up to full strentgh until mid to late June. I have handed in my notice so if I have to defer until the next intake, I'll be jobless. I'd like to know what the 'physical' training timetable is??? Recruitment STILL haven't sent me my pack yet and i start in 3 weeks. Feedback would be much appreciated!! Caroline

I'm travelling down the day before from Lancaster for my assessment day and I'm just wondering if anyone knows of decent but cheap hotels near the assessment centre? I've been looking at the usual Travel Lodge and Ibis but can't seem to find anywhere that doesn't charge ridiculous prices but is also not going to make my life difficult getting to the centre for 8am. Ideally, I'd like a hotel close to the Northern Line so I can just go straight through to Colindale Station so if anyone knows of anywhere suitable let me know!

(also posted on policeUK so apologies to those who read both forums) Hi all, I have narrowed my borough choices down to 6, these are: - Camden - Hammersmith and Fulham - Lambeth - Southwark - Tower Hamlets - Hackney I initially had Islington instead of FH but I am under the impression they still run the traditional shift pattern which I would like to avoid from what I have heard. The rationale behind my choices is that I want a borough with variety, with lots of interaction and stop and search, busy in the day and at night, a borough where I will be thrown in at the deep end and challenged every single day to the full. I understand that your chances of success w…
