Advice Please?? I am a member of the 'missed out by 1% club' my six months are almost up and I can re-apply again. The adverts I have spotted for the latest recruitment event registering by 07 Aug seem to have closed as soon as advertised - very frustrating! I just wondered if anyone here has re-submitted an application form without going to an event and had it accepted?? Thanks in advance.

Ive been a PCSO in the met for a year and a half almost. I was told that after ayear your skipper will sign some papers and you can be put forward for your day one. However my skipper is refusing to sign my papers off saying i need to acheive something outstanding for him to agree to do so. I meet all minimum requirements I just cant understand why hes refusing im not a sh*t worker. I think this is quite unethical anyone agree or who can give me an idea of whats suppose to happen?

Hey, I am so confused, not to mention disappointed right now..... I called vetting last Monday and asked how my application was coming along, and was told that everything had came back OK, and they were waiting for one final check and then I would have my file signed off and sent to Hendon to wait for a start date. I called again the Tuesday after, and was told that it had been completed, sent to Hendon, and I just had to wait for a letter. Congratulations bla bla! After three days of waiting, I received a letter telling me that my application would not be going through to the next stage. It did not mention security checks, references, just a photocopy letter without …

Hey everyone, im new to this forum and want to say thanks to everyone as I have learnt so much more about being a police officer than going to my local station. I just wanted to ask a question. I have been trying to apply since jan, but as mentioned on this forum many many times, i just cant manage to get that contact number in time!!! After april i was told that they were no longer recruiting till 2010, and stupidly i took it easy on the searches. But there have been about 3 or 4 since then and im so annoyed! Does anyone know whether or not they will be recruiting again this year? I just cant go on their word anymore! ... Thanks!!

Have been posting here quite a bit , my wee plan is to wait for the mets Next recruiting drive and apply. I've been thinking about this a lot, about various Pitfalls etc.I only have one issue, I fear it make make applying quite pointless. This is easily One of the best forums around, helpful folk etc,so who better to ask! This is my problem...I'm a werewolf... Only joking. Seriously though. In the last three years I have had 10 absences. Each of these seperate Incidents of course had a reason. Mainly family problems. Is there any point whatsoever in applying when you have had 10 absences in three years? Am I basically Looking at getting rejected at the papersif…
