Hi Guys and Girls, Im in the waiting room like a lot of you, Day 2 was on 21st July, I have chosen Croydon as my preferred Borough and whilst looking through the Croydon News website I found this: http://www.croydon.gov.uk/community/safety...olice-petition/ It would seem that there is some extra funding available and Croydon Council are petition for it, so they can get more Police for the Borough. Can you please take a look at the link and email your support. Cheers, Russ

Is anybody at Hendon at the moment? if so, is it as intense as I think it will be?

Wondered whether anyone else is in the same boat as me. Waiting for my call up since June 09. Would like to know if you all think I would be able to commute by train each morning to Hendon for training? As cannot afford a mortgage and paying rent in London. I realise coming home is not an issue as we would be finishing about 4.30. But would like to know about the start times in the morning. Many thanks

Just a quick update for anyone who may be in the same situation as me. I did my day 2 at the beginning of July, and have been advised that I should be looking at a June/July start date next year. Looks like i need a new job before then!

Hello All, I hope someone can give me advice. My partner is a response officer and has been for over 6 years since joining. It is now making him ill due to stress and 2 recent attempts on his life whilst on duty. He has spoke to his bosses but noone listens and they wont move him out of response because of experience and training he has. He has been to welfare who are writing a report but his bosses will not let him go. Can any serving officers give some advice please as to where to turn to for him? Thanks Jen

 Hi there wonder if anybody can help?? passed my day 2 a couple of weeks back and am into the vetting process. i am basically worried about my financial checks how much do they scrutinize your lending, and what amounts are considered fail worthy??? i have a loan which isn't major and i have never missed a payment and 2 small credit cards that i pay into monthly. The thing is i constantly have money going in and out of my accounts but never get out of my overdraft, would this be putting me at a disadvantage or as i suspect am i not really any different to the rest of the population???!!! any replies appreciated

Met police do recruit every single year, do they not? Back in January I was advised that no recruitment would be taking place this year..however that was wrong. To anyone with prior experience of applying - how long are the recruitment windows open? You have to attend an event, but to even attend that event, you need to register, so how long is the registration window open for? As an Asian myself, I understand that met police often specifically targets ethnic minorities, but every single time, I keep missing the opportunity - any advice on how to register or attend recruitment events on time before it gets closed? Like when recruitment starts, can I ask met police to se…

Re-post from another forum. 'We are however accepting transferred applications from candidates who have passed a National Assessment Centre since December 2008 and have a Hampshire home address. If you meet this criteria please contact the Police Officer Recruitment team on 02380 745315.' http://www.hampshire.police.uk/Internet/jobs/ Food for thought if you life in the Hampshire area and want to bypass the Met queue.
