I was bored today so did some reading up on the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, I was aware of this but I was wondering if anyone had ever given it a go or had known of case going to court under the act... If so what was the result? (I have in the past made an arrest for "violent or indecent behaviour in any police office" when someone kicked off in my BTP nick a few years ago and the court result was decent from what I recall.) Hello, can I keep the Victorinox Rescue Tool in pouch in my car's door container? It has a locking blade. The reason for keeping it would be as an emergency use only as it has seatbelt cutter, window braker and disc saw. If it is not legal to keep it with above reasoning, would it be ok to keep it in my car's boot? But then what is the point of having it in my car's boot while trapped with blocked seatbelt on? The same goes with multi-tools, can I have a multi-tool with a locking blade in my car's boot? I'm thinking about Victorinox Swisstool X. Could someone explain these sections to me please. I’m reading this straight from the statue book and a bit confused. s.163 clearly gives the power to stop a vehicle. However I was pulled up the other day for telling someone it was s165 that I was requesting vehicle docs under, it should have been s163. So what’s the deal here, as a newbie I didn’t ask for an in depth explanation but having gone back to the statute I still can’t work it out. Many thanks!

Hi all, I havn't had much success googling this - My initial search found the inconclusive case of the 'Polite' high viz jackets worn by horseriders with top hits for questions around the subject showing threads on horse forums from 2008! Anyway with the winter months approaching and less hours of natural I have purchased various high viz apparel off ebay. Hi all, So had a strange run in this week with a guy camping out at the bike parking in my local town centre. There are a few places with big loops around the town centre - some at the start of the shopping area and then mostly outside key shops. Outside the Tesco within the heart of the town there are 5 cycle loops in front of the store with CCTV pointing out from the store and a cash machine directly opposite. I hope someone may be able to offer assistance for this and maybe some experience if applicable? I recall seeing at some point a clause in some legislation regarding speed enforcement where it stated that if two or more constables formed the opinion that a vehicle was exceeding the posted speed limit that they could be done for speeding in place or using a calibrated device (LASER, speedometer, etc). On Violence according to the 2006 British Crime Survey. On the list of locations were Transport, which is the tube or a car etc.,other location, inside or outside home. Only thing I got rid of was the violence at the pub or club, which drops violence to 2.4% The Survey also had violence according to morning, afternoon,evening and night. Night being midnight to 6am. I got rid of the violence at night. It has dropped to 1.8% This is for Stranger and Acquaintance Violence. Hi all, 2-3 years ago, my other half and I had an argument and police were called out by a neighbour. We live in a flat and the argument wasn’t particularly loud or anything but it was quite late. It was a verbal argument and no violence or anything of the sort. Anyway, the police came, took statements and advised us that nothing further would happen, but if they were called out again within a 12 month period, then something would happen.
