My neighbour was given a suspended sentence and retraining order two months after being found guilty for his harassment offenses against me. I had a letter from the police last week saying they had tried to contact me over a report that I was abusive to someone at a time I wasnt there but at my fathers. The person who accused me of this was the neighbours girlfriend, but the report came from the neighbours house (the letter was specific in saying the reported incident happened at their address.) Of course, I'm not talking about suspected drug smugglers or seriously bad people here. Rather, I'm talking about normal people who may sometimes have trouble with the law for some alleged offence. Then, when can the police come to your house and arrest you? What do the police need to prove before they can do that? Thank you

On a few occasions I have left work to find my car boxed in with a vehicle at each end leaving 6-12” space. Once I had to wait several hours for one to move. Is there anything I can do about this if it happens again?

I am 14, and I love swords. When I found that the legal age to buy swords is 18, I wondered what the minimum legal age was to own a sword was. One of my friends (also 14) has a couple of swords, but I don't know if they belong to him or his mum. The sword in question will be either a traditionally forged katana, or a straight bladed hand and a half sword ( also known as a sword). The sword will be blunt and only used for decoration and pretending to be a samurai/Aragorn when no one else is in the house. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is it legal to sleep in your car, in a residential area (public roads), on a regular basis, with no markings on the roads that prevent free parking, in the UK? Thanks in advance! Kai

Hello, I’m fairly new to this country and as such am not overly familiar with the laws regarding police harassment. I’ve googled it a few times but have not been able to find an official .gov webpage which outlines exactly what does and does not qualify as police harassment. Apologies - I posted in the wrong area before. Hi I was recently been reported by an ex friend for harrassment after the relationship went sour. I’ve been calling for an update for a month and stupidly decided to contact my ex friend and ask for closure. When I last rang 101 to get an update they mentioned there being 2 incidents and I think they weren’t supposed to tell me - maybe because one hasn’t been assigned yet. Does this mean I’ve been reported again? Wouldn’t it have gone on the same incident? In April 2017 my neighbour (this is a vague use of the word as by property backs onto hers, and is separated by my garden and a block of three garages) put her house up for sale; after it had been on the market for only a few weeks she came to my home and demanded that I paint my home and landscape the garden, as this was preventing her property from selling. My home is not even visible from her property. My property was in good order, and I refused. Since that time several properties nearer to mine and within eye-line have sold. My partner has been charged with section 39, common assault. I haven’t pressed charges but the CPS have decided to go ahead based on witness statements. They have said that he could end up with 6 months in prison for this. Now I am sure that most people say this, but this was the most out of character thing that has ever happened, and I do not want to see him go to prison for this. My question is, is there anything I can do to help in this situation? A statement for the court or anything else? I’m not saying he shouldn’t be punished for this, but not prison.
