If a person commits a minor common assault on a child with no injuries what is the appropriate disposal. The allegation is that the person has pushed child away from him and knocked him to the floor after the child struck him to the eye. No emotional or physical affects to child. To add no previous convictions for the person. Only evidence is cctv, no witnesses and no support or evidence from minor. Would this meet the criteria for a simple caution or would it be more appropriate to charge. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Two months ago three little boys ran past my partner who was standing the park with our dog who was on his lead, sniffing the grass. The dog must have got spooked, as before my partner realised what was happening, the dog suddenly jumped up at the smallest boy as he ran past (last), making contact with his arm. I was released with no charges, no caution, and with the case marked as nfa. I now was offered another security kinda job by a company, however it requires you to clear Non-police personnel vetting (level 2). In my current job I hold an equivalent/potentially higher level of government clearance due to the nature of the job, and daily access that I have to police/cps documents. I was arrested and charged with common assault by beating for pushing someone away from me when I was on a night out. I was issued with a police caution for this matter. The victim did not want to prosecute or press any sort of charges whether that be a caution or a conviction. In the moment I felt pressured into taking a caution as they kept telling me if prosecuted I could be given a six-month jail term, they also told me if I accepted a caution it would not give me any sort of criminal record, which I now know is not the case as it will come up in DBS checks and can also prevent me from travelling abroad in some cases. Evening all, Hope someone can clear this up. A CPS witness gave a statement 1+ year ago regarding events of perhaps 18 months ago. At the most recent failed court date (three cases always booked for the same time? What a p-take!) the witness skimmed their statement and realised they do not independently remember too much of the specifics any more. They stand by the statement as they were very careful to be accurate while giving it, but with much of it, they can only repeat the details of the events and say they are true due to being able to read what they previously wrote and knowing they were telling the truth at the time. When you have a suspect on the street and want to do the paperwork for summons instead of going into custody, what forms or books do you need to use in The Met? Also, why cannot most offences that people get arrested for, be dealt with by summons/process. Times when the only Code G is Prompt and Effective - what is to stop this being covered by a roadside interview that is written down (and recorded on BWV) I've heard Disqual driving to be completed by way of summons instead of arrest.

Hello, I've recently reported a drug driver (on Friday and again today), I run a business and usually come home for a break at lunch time, a guy on my road smokes cannabis on a daily basis, then after doing so, gets into his car and drives off.
