I've had a quick browse but can't see any similar threads, Does anyone know which forces(or perhaps I'll try make a list) of which forces accept SEACH transfer tickets? I recently failed interview at humberside and they accept SEARCH tickets within 24months, however I have to resit the assessment the next time i apply again..seems pointless but hey ho

Hello, Basically I applied to be a PC in 2014 and I have now finally been given a start date. It has been a long process due to cuts etc. A lot has changed in the three and a half years since my application. I'm now engaged, made progress where I work, have a mortgage etc. No kids at the moment but I think a child will be likely in the next couple of years. I'm in 2 minds on whether to reject the job offer or accept... I currently work in a Mon-Fri 9-5 office based job, have been since I graduated 6 years ago. I am in need of a change as I have worked for the same company for 6 years and I feel I need a new challenge but is this the right change...…

Having spoken to colleagues, there are scores that range from the low fiftys ( as pass is 50 IIRC) up to the eighties. I don't really observe a relationship between having a higher score associated with being a better police officer imo Again, SEARCH was made to assess if someone has potential to be a good cop but having through it like many, I think SEARCH is a shambles and needs to be removed and replaced with something better. The main issues are the role plays in particular. I think the written exercise was recently redone and it seems more appropriate for the role. What's your opinion on SEARCH?

Afternoon all, I'm wondering if the police force you choose can place restrictions on you based on your previous medical grounds. I ask as I have had a serious and difficult medical history and was told by somebody I'm unsure whether to trust that they can still allow you to be an officer but keep you desk based and not out on the ground so to speak? Has anyone had any experience of this?

Although I'm a few years off from joining the force, for some reason I'm afraid of failing the tests. The two main areas I think I wouldn't do well in are; - The roleplay - The written - Any interviews So, does anyone have any tips to help me? What should I should be expecting in the interviews? How many interviews do you go through? What is the roleplay like? How many people are also roleplaying with you? How many people will be watching you roleplay? More questions may be added Thank you so much in regards! :) Whoops, three main problems up there, not two.

I have a lot of questions so if anyone can help me that would be brilliant. Im currently waiting on attending my Day 2 for the met which ill be doing in a couple of weeks. Im also waiting on my CKP exam on the 7th may. Assuming i pass both of these does anyone know when i might start training and if so where? Is, if any, training residential? and finally does anyone know the breakdown of training week by week or even length. I havent been told very much. Id appreciate any help! Thanks S

Hi all, still on hold with Surrey police, not heard from them since 15th January. Anyone else in the same boat with applying for a force only to be told upon being successful with the whole process that you’re in a pool with no imminent intakes? All very frustrating.

Dear All, I suffer from Dysgraphia and it haunts the hell out of me with paper and writing, I am wondering if anyone in service currently suffers from dysgraphia and how you were accommodated during the recruitment process

Afternoon all, Apologies if this has already been asked before but I'm just curious, if somebody withdraws their ongoing police officer application do they still have to wait the required six months before they can reapply or can you reapply when they next recruit? Any advice would be appreciated. XA84

Hi guys, one of my friends has received a speed awareness course, This has triggered me to remember I done one a few years back. Problem is I haven't declared this as I completely forgot about it. Do you need to declare speed awareness courses as it doesn't ask about them on my vetting forms ? Regards blacky
