Has anyone got or previously had a treadmill at home? I have a budget of about £800 and looking to get one but there are so many models and so many different reviews etc the more I read about them the more I keep changing my mind. Any advice or experiences appreciated. Cheers.

Right, I'm at a dead-end right now. I'm currently just over halfway through my AS levels in a school sixth form and I hate it. Every minute of every day of it. We're treated like school property I suppose is the biggest problem, now I know one place (and indeed one person) shouldn't sway my opinion on education, but they've put me off, in that they never consult me, I've raised this in an email to the head of sixth and he's just ignored it, I'm kept completely in the dark and he just goes straight to my mother, which let's just say, at my age, isn't her concern (statutory duty). Ideally what I'd like to do in life is become a reg (long way off that, so let's not enterta…

Hi all, So, I went for an eye test at the end of 2011, as part of my application to Staffs. I'm slightly short-sighted in my right eye, as close to normal as short sighted gets (1:6 I think?). Anyway, I want a cheap pair of glasses, just for my lectures and stuff, because during the eye test I did find it a bit easier to read stuff with the right lenses things in (better with, or without? One, or two?). Anyway, I found these- They're the exact style I want, but do the come with everything I need? I've never needed glasses before so i don't know what I should get etc. They're cheap, which is what I want, but will I have to pay extra for lenses etc? Any a…

First of, I am fully aware that this is not a place to ask for such advice, but I am pretty sure there are going to be people who may have a few good tips for someone like me. I am not looking to become Hulk, not yet anyway. Moreover, I just want to get stronger. So, what exercises do you recommend for a beginner? I have never been in a gym, and it is not one of the environments I particularly like, I want to try and keep it at home for now. I have looked online, and a lot of people say that 20 sit ups and 20 press ups every morning on will help with my upper and lower body. I am not fat, far from it; and I do eat healthy, I just don't seem to gain weight normally as I …

Its a long story but I will keep it brief, some guy I started to work with, turned out to be not a good guy and was a lier and made me lose out on money, I wanted nothing more to do with him. So I broke ties with him. He says I owe him money which I dont, in fact I lost money because of him, so he is now trying to take me to court, with a made up sum, but he knows he will lose because its a lie. Today I got a call from his friend who is a really evil piece of work, known to the police as well, he said if I dont call his friend and pay the money he will make my life very uncomfortable, and I know he means that is it for me. What should I do? I have not finished training ye…

Hey guys. I appreciate that most of you probably aren't med professionals, but I was just wondering if anyone could help me out. I got bitten by a mosquito (I think) about a week ago and since then I've had a huge lump on my leg (about the size of my palm) with what I think is dead skin in the centre (black substance with something oozing out). I decided to go to the walk in centre today to see what it was and the doc told me that it was pretty obviously a serious infection. It's painful all the time, with it being swollen and inflamed. It especially hurts when I walk. He prescribed me a seven day course of Flucloxacillin 500mg and told me if it didn't clear up I should …

The other day at work people were talking about stinky sprays perfumes and aftershaves. Some people wear £50 stuff to work. I think they're mad. What is cheap in price and smells good for work, I'm still amazed at people spending loads of money just for work and not "for best"

Hey Iv'e just started training to become a special. Iv'e also joined my local gym. Over the past few months i have slowly decreased the amount of junk food i eat, it's now hardly any. I've been looking online for diet plans, but every site seems to say the opposite to the last . I'm 11 stone and 6 foot. I do look quite skinny. If this is the daily guidelines for a adult, then roughly how much should i be taking in if i want to build muscle. I have decided that something needs to be done about my diet and exercise. Last time I was weighed (a year ago) I was 22 stone. I'm 6ft tall and quite a broad person. I have been living off ready meals/takeaway and it's not doing me any good. I want to change not only for appearance, but also for my health. My plan is to cut out the snacks/pop/takeaway and replace with a more healthy option. Exercise wise I can't say I do alot, I mean, I walk about 5 miles a day and give the dumbells a blast at home but no real fitness regime. Can anyone give me any pointers for weight loss and improving my general health? I have recently cut out snacks, fizzy drinks but only recently…
