Can anyone recommend a good HD IP wireless pan/tlit and motion tracking webcam for use as a security camera indoors? Budget of around £100 or less.

Can someone explain a little about SSDs for me? I used to know lots about computers back in the day but alas no longer! As I understand it, they're superior to HDDs because they are faster and more reliable. My questions are: Can you install multiple SSDs on one machine? Can you mix and match SSDs and HDDs on one machine? For example on one machine, can I install Windows on the SSD and play videos from the HDD? Do they slot into motherboards like graphic cards or do they sit on a shelf like HDDs? If so, do you need towers that have special compartments for SSDs? Do most new motherboards come with connections for SSDs? Has anyone here converted to from HDDs to SSDs an…

I managed to get back my 22inch monitor from the family (Who kept it for the "family computer" that no one uses as they have a laptop) and I'm using it for my laptop to watch films and game on. However, randomly whilst gaming my laptop will freeze and I have to force shutdown. There doesn't seem to be any reason to this (other than it only happens when I use an external monitor with an HDMI cable) as I've been changing around settings to no avail. My laptop doesn't overheat (as I have a usb cooler) and my graphics card *should* have no problem handling this. I'm running; Dell XPS L502X Windows 7 64-bit Intel Core I7 - 2630 QM @2.00GHz 8.00GB of memory. NVIDIA Ge…

I need to replace my 5 year old laptop. The thing is I only use it when I go on holiday which is 1-3 times a year as I have a desktop at home. I will mainly use it for watching HD videos on the plane, uploading photos from my SD card, internet browsing and email at the hotel. I'm thinking the Macbook Air but not sure if I'll like the small screen so probably need something like the 15" Macbook Pro or Dell XPS 15z. I could even get the iPad but need multitasking capabilities of a proper desktop.

My trusty Denon AVR 1604 Home Cinema amp has given up the ghost after years of faithful service. Can anyone recommend a repairer, preferably in Sussex?

I'm looking at buying a new telly, a flat-screen LCD digital with Freeview since we are being forced to go digital. Of course I can get a Freeview box, but I thought a TV would make more sense. However, I've just seen a report on telly saying that HDTV sets, or HDTV ready, aren't going to be all they're cracked up to be, on top of that they might have to be payed for via satellite which I have absolutely no intention of doing. The question is, if I bought a telly, is it worth my while getting an HDTV ready set (even if I don't take advantage of it) because an ordinary, non-HDTV set will be useless in a few years time? Or can I buy a standard, non-HDTV flat screen LCD s…

Ok, so I am on Virgin Mobile and don't get a massive choice of phones. I am more than happy with the service I have received and I'm not overly bothered about joining the iPhone massive... My main requirements are calls and text messaging would you believe! However I use the internet a LOT on my phone and I also use my current phone as a Sat-Nav (Nokia X6) and would need to be able to use my new phone for this too. I am totally stuck between the 2 phones though - are they pretty much of a muchness? I can't find either of them has anything particularly outstanding over the other, I take pictures but not loads and have a proper camera for when I need decent shots so I'm n…

I'm looking to save money on my mobile phone bill, at the moment I only pay £15 a month to 3 (who have been very good), but I've found a company called GiffGaff (their website: http://www.giffgaff.com) who are basically doing a PAYG offer at £10 a month which should suit me down to the ground: For £10 a month get: 250 UK minutes Unlimited UK texts Unlimited Internet Perfect! They apparently use the O2 network and should work fine in my shiny iPhone. Anyone have any experiences of these folks, good or bad? Cheers

I've noticed over the past two months that I'm either able to predict the future, or that quite often my texts only tend to come through when I "wake up" the phone by pressing the standby button. It does it whether I have 50 messages in my inbox or 500. It's quite frustrating so I'd like to know if anyone has had and resolved this issue Inb4 master reset the phone Thanks
