rabbit 250
Hi everyone I've just got a new laptop- does it need a long first charge like you do when you get a new phone?
Ducky 139
In all honesty it's dependant on the type of battery used. There should be some small print in on of the guides that came with it that gives the recommended charging duration for first use probably under "product care" or something similar. ((TheShake))1546081325 487
Hi everyone I've just got a new laptop- does it need a long first charge like you do when you get a new phone? I don't usually bother to be honest. There's usually a bit of charge on it when you get it. Most people use there laptops on the charger when they're at home anyway so that'll give it a good long charge.
fruitandveg + 26
I'm pretty sure modern batteries it makes very little difference to do so.

wanabe 243
Hi everyone I've just got a new laptop- does it need a long first charge like you do when you get a new phone? It wouldn't do it any harm plugging in the charger the first time you use it. Be carefull though because you can overcharge them. If you have the charger constantly plugged in when you are using it it wil ruin the battery and it will no longer be able to hold a charge. So on the odd occasion you do want to use it somewhere more mobile your battery will last for 10 minutes before it needs charging.
