I heard today that some officers will fall into a pension ‘trap’ in that they cannot get their full pension. Forgive me if this is not exactly correct but it was explained to me that officers reaching 30 years service before age 55 who expect to go at 30 will not get full pensions if they are in both the 87 final salary and the CARE schemes. Reason being - go at < 55 and 30 years service means a maximum Final Salary and commutation on that scheme BUT the CARE pension will be actuarially reduced, because they are under 55 when they take it. I posted recently on allegation of harassment stalking and I am now told I am NFA after CPS advice. They had been involved for a while and I was told a file had gone to them. I want to get a copy of my recorded interview and wonder whether that is feasible. Even the Information Commissioners advice line do not know ! Also the seized phones I am told are not yet analysed ! Some mention made by OiC that they are kept on for completion in case anything might be there which was nothing to with the alleged now NFA crime . At the risk of repeating myself. We can all have differing opinions but, in the end of the day we are all, or have been part of a big family. In 30 years I only managed to have 3 when I was not on duty but the night shifts were the best as you had all day to manage your time with the family.

If you arrest someone for a summary only offence, say common assault and they run off into their address, are you able to force entry in pursuance of them? (No other offences, no one has laid handcuffs on them, there are no other offences to hand) Or not allowed full stop as it's a summary only offence?

Hi all, been away from frontline for a little while so in the process of refreshing my knowledge. Re seizure So when executing a sec 8 warrant, any items seized which are listed on that warrant are done so under the powers provided by the warrant itself right? Anything seized that is not listed on the warrant is done so under s19 pace? Is that right?
