Summary as follows: Neighbour above/next to us (Edwardian conversion of 3 flats) has and had noisy house sitters - 2 young girls who used her place as party central this year and last year. This year the noise was too much (early hours of a school night) so the Mrs went and had a word. She was fobbed off and told to shut up by a bloke who was not meant to be in the flat. The Mrs then came back, immediately emailed the neighbour and then called the police. Whilst the Mrs is on the phone the noise reaches a massive crescendo and then the police arrive. Hello all, I'm a probationer and have a question about what offences you can report for WITHOUT having to interview the suspects/offenders. Off the top of my head, these are the offences you can report people for with Police evidence only: - D&D - s5 POA - Obstruct Police - Assault Police - Breach of s35 (as there's no power of arrest) Is there more? I know theoretically you can report anyone for any summary offence, but is there a definitive list of summary offences where you can submit the NAREY file without conducting an interview; be it on tape, on an MG15 or PNB? Just a quick question, as I'm a bit confused about this practice. Was arrested for an offence, last week and didn't say anything to police, until I saw a solicitor. Was told by solicitor that the police had a list of other, similar offences that I had also been part of but that they were willing to treat them as TIC's. However during the interview, policeman doing questioning suddenly further arrested me for 4 of these offences. The solicitor immediately challenged this and I was told to say nothing more. Bit intrigued really.. Any former soldiers on here? Can a British soldier carry their pistol off duty? Crown servants exempt from the act? I know PSNI carry theirs off duty as armed robbers have been stopped by off duty officers.

In 2009, I accepted a Simple Caution and am currently looking for a potential career in the police. I have a question relating to the way in which my caution was administered, as a result of a technicality that has been identified. I'm looking for opinions on whether the technicality is one whereby it's minor and not worth the effort of disputing or whether it's potentially serious and could undermine the legality of the caution administered.
