Just wanted to ask questions about these new regulations, coming into force today. Have heard that Greater Manchester police are not going to enforce them, because of doubts about the testing equipment. Wondering if any other forces are following that lead? I understand that the only 2 drugs that can be detected by this technique are cannabis and coke. However, I take Diazepam, one of the 8 legally prescribed drugs on the list of those having regulated levels. I don't feel impaired in my driving, whilst taking it but as I am prescribed 5mg, three times a day, so not sure if that would put me over the limit? It seems that match fixing is increasingly common, but I wondered if it is actually considered an offence, and if so which one(s). Lets say that a someone involved in the management or training at a football club gets together with a key player and gets them to play bad to loose the match. These two then put money on the match, betting on the other side to win. Is that fraud or deception of some description, with the bookie being the victim? I would think that a civil offence of breach of contract would be committed against the club. But would there be any other charges considering that the club will loose out possibly by large amounts of money?

In relation to this incident, is it actually illegal and under what law to put up a placard in your own garden?

Does anyone know why criminal damage does not appear in 9(1)b...? Argument at work at the minute goes along the lines of.... Person breaks into a house with the intention to cause criminal damage. He smashes the front door open and proceeds to smash the place up inside. What offence has he committed? Hi all, I'm a serving Special Constable and also an ASB Officer for a Local Authority and this question sits in both camps. Under the new ASB, Crime and Policing Act, Police and LA have the power to close premises for up to 48 hours. Further to my post about Cannabis warnings, I just need a bit more advice. If the police have an incident logged as a crime, (as they must have had, otherwise I would not have been visited by a PC who was going to issue me a cannabis warning); is it possible for them to then drop the case? It was a fortnight ago and I thought someone might have gotten back to me by now. I would be pleased if they just dropped the case, as I am on a conditional discharge but not sure they can-don't you have to log some sort of conclusion, on the system?
