I always thought that you were able to derestrict your moped after you had turned 17 as you could legally have a more powerful bike capable of going above 30mph then. I thought the only crime would be if you failed to declare this on insurance. I've now heard that it is illegal to do so under construction and use regs. Can anybody shed some light on this? PS - I don't/haven't/never intend to ride a moped.

What is the law regarding the police or council officials confiscating property from people sleeping rough? I've heard of a few cases where people sleeping rough have had tents, shelters, sleeping bags etc. confiscated by the authorities and wonder what law would enable them to do this as opposed to simply moving the people on.

Hello, I'm really stressing about one issue, could somebody with some knowledge in this area, please help me out. Hi, Just a quick bit of advice needed. Is it possible for a person to be given a Cannabis warning, when it is not their first offence, involving weed? I was in court on shoplifting charges, earlier in the year and the charge sheet also had 'possession of class B drug' included, which was cannabis buds. I was stopped in the local town last week and found to be in possession of 1g weed and the investigating officer turned up at my home, the next day, with a load of paperwork. I'm currently revising for my CKP plus exams with South Wales police in a few weeks time and have several areas that I just cannot get my head around. I am using a variety of books etc to go over these areas, but I was wondering if I could get a few things cleared up. 1) My first problem area is Drugs. Hi there, I am in a big bit of bother, and was really hoping someone could help / state the lawful situation of this mess! Scenario: A friend offered me his workshop so I could fix my car MYSELF in there. With NO verbal and NO written contract, and NO mentioning of ANY costs of storage or anything, I went ahead. If anyone can answer these three questions please, (preferabley a police officer) I would be most grateful: 1) A person reported me to the police for harassment then claims he attempted to withdraw it before it was sent to me but was apparently told the complaint had been lodged and could not be stopped. I just wonder if someone could clear up this point for me. I have been told that if someone takes something from a shop, without getting caught and then either they, or another family member return it, in undamaged condition, that is not classified as theft. How then, can police arrest people, just past the checkouts of stores, and charge them with theft from a shop, when they could justifiably claim that they didn't intend to permanently deprive the store of the items, just forgot to pay?
