Saddam Hussain is due to be sentenced today (5/11/06), now what do we think will happen ??. Perhaps a guilty verdict followed by a death sentence commuted by President of Iraq George Bush just to show how venerable he is, or maybe they could show the new Iraqi government how democracy works and just give him 80 hours community service and a £250 fine.

Right. So fed up am I of the British political system I've decided to try and raise a new party from the ground up. This party will stand for law and order, for every member of the working and lower middle classes. We'll stand for honesty and integrity. Truth not lies. Fair pay deals for all public sector works and a mature foreign policy. Now, I suggest Graham and Pemby get working on this. They should be joint leaders. They both talk a lot of sense and I think they'd be great. Who's with me? NeeNaw2006-11-04 18:27:40

A young lad was working in the vegatable department in a large supermarket. An old chap asked the lad for half a lettuce. The lad replied that they only sold whole lettuce. The man asked the lad to ask the manager if he could by half a lettuce. The lad approached the manager and said, '' some sad old bastard wants to buy half a lettuce'', realising that the man was standing close behind him and overheard what he said, quickly added, ''but this kind gent here has offered to buy the other half''. The manager agreed to the sale. He latter approached the young lad and said, ''I was very impressed with the way you thought on your feet, and got out of that situ…

In various Sunday newspapers, there have been reports about the proposed changes to Council Tax to be first 'road tested' in Northern Ireland. Under some of the proposals smany properties could see current levels of Council Tax increase from £1,000-00 up as much as £4,000-00 as a result in the massive hikes in protpery values over recent years. Obvioulsy the Governments N Ireland Minister has flatly denied that this will be the case. Is this 'politcal madness' or what? The legislation for the proposed changes is currently going through the House of Lords, and there has been desparate lobbying to have these plans thrown out. The other great concern is that this, if …

Another fiddle is on the way. The Cash for Honours investigation is going to be decided by, guess who, Teflon Tony's friend, Lord Goldsmith. Now isn't that a surprise. We all know what to expect the result to be. Teflon's friend will ensure Tony doesn't come to any harm. There is still the cover-up over the legallity of the Iraq war to be clarified,(which Goldsmith was involved in) is there no sleaze that this government will not be involved in.

Following on from Chicken Soup's dating discussion has anyone else had a lot of fun or a nigtmare on Uniform Dating? I used it for two months and must admit I had a right laugh, well mostly! The other side of the coin was a date with a very attractive air stewardess. All was going well after a few dates with her telling me she had't used the site long, didn't do this often etc etc. Then as we were driving one day, me in the usual 'push pull' styleee, she said 'why do all you cops drive like that'. My thoughts of being the only Romeo to date this 'Juliette' were dashed. Back to the ranks of one of many I suspect, lol. Not complaining too much though as she was fun.

Several labour MP's are complaining that the Chief of North Wales, will not see them. They are unhappy because he has spoken out against the government, who are going to cut his budget. If I was the Chief I would tell them to get 'knotted', he runs the force, not the local labour MP's. It looks like North Wales is going to lose 120 jobs because of a cut in the budget. Too many MP's think they own the country and that they should have a say in how forces are run. I'm not a fan of the DCC but he put out a press statement which clearly puts the MP's in their place.

Is Britain a great nation? I used to think so, but, the more I get out-and-about here, and the more I see of other European nations to which I can compare it, the more I start to doubt it. Recently, I was in Denmark - a country I know well. I arrived at a large city called Odense with my family late on a Saturday evening. Like our cities, it was thronging with people enjoying themselves. Except there were certain things missing. Although there were outdoor bars and people were drinking, there was no fighting, no shouting and swearing, no drunks vomiting in the gutters or urinating in shop doorways or gobbing off at passing police cars. There was virtually no litt…
