What is the 'SIA' certification? And do uniformed and similar Security guards such as those working in Shopping Malls now require to have this before they can work as Civilian Security Guards? My other question is, how can one go about obtaining this training/certification and how much does it cost..... just curious!!! ... Uncle Vanya2006-12-20 16:56:10

received this the other day. Following urgent consultation with ACPO as a result of the recent surge in foot chase incidents the Chief Constable will regretfully have to impose the new guidelines with immediate effect. • Police officers will not pursue on foot unless they are a designated runner. • Runners will be selected by the station sergeant and will undergo special training. • Runners will be under 13.5 stone, athletic build, short hair and chiseled features. Low body fat, good looking, enthusiastic, competent with Sherlock Holmes detecting abilities and basically the puppies’ privates. • Officers, when called out, will attend the scen…

Fluke leads to record drug bust Renee Switzer December 19, 2006 - 3:03PM Lucky find ... police believe yesterday's fluke haul is a record for the state. Officers seized 340 litres of liquid ecstasy, methylene dioxy phenyl-2-propanone or MDP2P, after stopping to help a white van that they thought had broken do…

An ambulance ferrying a patient from Ilford to Brentwood, a distance of 12 miles, ended up travelling a 200 mile round trip to Manchester, because the ambulance navigation system went wrong. I always thought ambulance drivers were fairly intelligent people, but these two must have been 'one sandwich short of a picnic'. Common sense would tell most people that after you had gone 20 odd miles something must be wrong. I can't believe two so called intelligent people could make such a mistake.

This is the Christmas card that the Commission for Racial Equality are sending out this year. If you want to read the full story, it's in the Daily Mail, which is why many of you won't have seen it.

Craig Bellamy has a very high opinion of himself. He stated in open court that the police officer who arrested him, was jealous of his fame etc. I cannot think of any police officer who would be jealous of a common yob like Bellamy, who has lots of previous for yobbish behaviour, on and off the field. Poor old Craig, gets all his priorities in the wrong order.
