Is anybody aware of such a thing? I have spoken to people before that have had some kind of discount on a pay monthly contract through Vodafone just for serving in the police (they were a special constable at the time). I'm with EE and due an upgrade with them. I'd be more inclined to stay with them if they offered some sort of money off incentive.

I'm aware that accepting discount and 'freebies', if you will, may cause you a problem in the future - but what discounts are you entitled to as an officer? Locally or nationally.

Hi All, Just wondering who has phone insurance and if anyone can recommend any providers? Currently I'm paying £15 p/m on an iPhone 6 with £60 excess for a claim. The good thing about my current provider is that if I make a claim I will be given a replacement on the next working day. However I still believe it's quite expensive for phone insurance.

Hi all, Currently on my penultimate week of training at Hendon, after 2 and a half years as a special I'm close to going to borough as a PC. Only problem is my new borough is a long old commute from where I live, and I need a mode of transport to get to my station. I have looked at loans but my credit history is actually worse than bad - to put it bluntly, I'm only just better credit wise than someone who has been declared bankrupt (no CCJ'S or anything). Any suggestions of who I can go to? Natwest are longing the loan process out and I won't get anything from them (aand if I do, not in time for when I go to borough). I've heard of a few police credit unions that of…

Okay so Last year I was in a minor traffic collision, not my fault. I claimed against the other person's insurance and I got my car fixed and very happy. Im still getting phone calls offering me compensation of £4000. Question is, has anyone actually gone through and taken the money? Any risks with it? (Like information, your future insurance, credit records) Anyone know how to get them to stop phoning you?
