What would you like to see on this forum? What can we do to make this place better for everyone or just for you? We are looking for your ideas. It could be something you've always longed for in a forum, or maybe it's something you've seen on another forum that you think would be good on here. Let us know your ideas. All ideas will be considered although if it is very outlandish it probably won't be considered for long. It can be anything at all no matter whether you think it can or can't be done, leave that bit up to us. Tears for Tiers

So with the country now in different tiers with different restrictions how's it going for you? No need to say which tier you are in if you don't want to but how is it affecting you and what you do? I'm wondering mainly how the different restrictions around the country are affecting every day life. I am personally in a tier 3 area but I must say it hasn't changed much for me over the last 9 months. I don't go out much at all as I can work from home and I have my shopping delivered. It worries me a bit about what is going to happen at Christmas but that is weeks away yets so things may change. I'm very sad that I can't go out with friends and colleagues…

Quite interesting and amusing podcast by two former Nottinghamshire Constabulary officers. Both joined later in life. It is available on Spotify, which is free.

(Not sure where to post, pls move). I've enjoyed my years on policespecials/community, but am now de-activating/retiring my account, as it's positives don't outweigh the time I've spent on it. There have been some good debates, arguments and discussions (sorry if any of you are 'left hanging'), especially from: @Radman + @Zulu 22 + @Father Jack @SimonT + @Beaker @blakey @Whitehall Hack and a few more, and of course @Fedster and the bosses. I'm not a policeman or volunteer, but have always been interested and this forum has given me a little bit more insight than the few men I've met in person and Wikipedia! If I ever ge…

So what music do you listen appropriate to your mood? Post here with what mood and that the music is, preferably with a video/recording of the piece. I'll give you some examples. Getting ready to go out for a night out on the town I may just play something like this whilst getting ready: Or this Depending on if I'm out for beers and laughs or out for beers and dancing. If I'm wanting relaxing and maybe to drift off to sleep I might play something like this: So what do you listen to, why and when?

Duke and Duchess of Sussex - what's the plan?
by Wilts20 +- 1 follower

Lots of news (underneath COVID) regarding the recent exit of the Duke and Duchess and subsequent comments, press problems etc. What's their plan? HRH seems fairly unhappy with the current progress and with Meghan now going at the press over here (first round lost), it doesn't seem to be turning out too well. The confusion over stepping back, but still supporting the boss, but without any military appointments & other roles etc ... all seems very odd. Personally, I hope that HRH gets to where he feels is right, he's served the nation, however I don't think many really see North America as that place. With the Duchess, I think she's got a lot to learn ab…

Slightly too much "look at me" activity?
by Wilts20 +- 1 follower

Not sure about other's views, but in more recent weeks, there seems to be a tendency for people (all types) behaving in the 'seeing to be good/heroic/selfless/ etc' manner ... thinking mainly of the weekly clapping which in some places involves large (or otherwise) gatherings of people in public, often lots of noise and mass publication. The most publicised seems to be the Westminster Bridge in which many gathered, with local police, EMS, et al seemed to gather to applaud health workers - against advice, instructions and pleading from HMG and said health workers. Just find it odd that whilst HMG is relying mostly on people's conscience and compliance with current res…

So what are you doing whilst in Social Isolation or Socially distancing? Any recommendations to alleviate the boredom or to prevent the breakdown of the family coherence? Myself I've been taking things apart to see how they work and then putting them back together again. So far things I have successfully taken apart and rebuilt 1. The kettle 2. Remote Control 3. Electric Razor 4. Lamp Things I have taken apart but have failed to put back together 1. My Cat So what are you up to? And do you have a spare cat I can have?

Things which irritate you

This is the thread for getting that annoying item off your chest after a long day or night ... slightly comical it can be. First for me: people with a general lack of awareness about the world around them (particularly muppets who stop at filling stations and leave their damn car at the pump whilst chatting and buying coffee in the shop...) this is is in locker room!
