I'm due to be joining thames valley in the next couple of months and i'm also very keen on getting a dog asap. Housing aside is it a good idea to be looking in to getting a dog at this early stage in my career? Is it, in fact, feasible to be a dog owner at all whilst in the force? Any personal experience with this or info at all would be greatly appreciated.

My God, what have they done to it! They've put massive razor wire fences behind the glass wall making it look like a prison. It didn't have that a few years ago. And even New Scotland Yard doesn't have military-style security.

Hi guy’s I work for NHS plus I’m also a Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist, and a qualified Nutritionist. However, in my spare time I’m a writer. In July, I was in America for three days visiting family briefly. While I was there, I watched a film called Sound of Freedom, which was based on a true story about human trafficking. After watching the movie, as expected, I was heartbroken because of the obvious subject matter. I haven’t got any children of my own (yet) but …
