http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7024834.stm Hooray! Wallace & Gromit are coming back on TV, but a bit PC this time. Wallace has a girl friend now. At least that'll stop all the rumours about the two of them.

Saw the funniest thing EVER yesterday which just sums up how strapped for cash non metropolotan forces really are. Two PCSO's turn up to a car break on the high street in a 1993 K reg Volvo 440, rusty wheel arches and someone has put a 'Warwickshire Police' logo on the side of it. Next to this is says 'Sponsored by CP Motors' Priceless.

Just seen this on the BBC, who I'm guessing is the same PC Gill involved in this sorry little saga. Which should have made her an ex-PC for which I will be pointing out to the BBC (if you could do this also then we can try and get them to change the headline...again) as it looks like a bit of lazy journalism designed to embarrass us again. Indeed, if only they knew how to use Google then they would have found this page, upon which they could see that she 'resigned' from the Police..... oh, and she also has a full UK driving licence, for now.

Here's one to start. There are ten boxes of oranges. All ten boxes have a different (and unknown) number of oranges in them. 9 of the boxes contain oranges that all weigh exactly 100grammes. 1 of the boxes contains oranges that all weight 101 grammes. You have a set of very accurate scales available to you, but you are only allowed to use them once. They are the type that you would use to weight yourself - ie put something on the scale and read the weight off. If you are only allowed to use it once, how do you identify the box with the heavier oranges in? I'm off for a few days break now and will post the answer when I get back - unless of course you cr…

The world-famous Red Arrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed "too British". Organisers of the event say that the Arrows military background might be "offensive" to other countries taking part in the Games. The display team have performed at more than 4000 events worldwide, but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team "too militaristically British". Red Arrows pilots were said to be "outraged", as they had hoped to put on a truly world class display for the Games, something which had never been seen before. Being axed from a British-based event for being "too British" is an insult - the Arro…

I used to work as a security dog handler & would love more than anything to become a Police Dog Handler in the Met, what I'd really love to know is what other officers views on being a dog handler & becoming a dog handler is. I am fully aware it's a competitive field to get into but was told recently that I would NEVER become a dog handler in the police these days....still I live in hope.

1)Court is always scheduled on your day off. 2)Accident calls come to you 15 minutes before shift ends. 3)The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Also the harder they punch, kick and choke. 4)If you park your patrol car in the exact centre of the Gobi desert, within 5 minutes someone will pull up and ask for direction. 5)Coffee machines run out on the midnight shift. 6)Pens never leak onto old uniform shirts. 7)New uniforms attract dirt. 8)It's against policy.'Shatterproof' torches seldom are. 9)Torch batteries never die until you need them. 10)You will remain in perfect health until your days off. 11)No patrol car assigned to you will be clean. 12)…

I know this was meant to be humorous, but most of these people are honestly agreeing with the questions put by the Australian presenter. After you watch this, could you be sure a lot of people here in Britain wouldn't say the same things if asked? http://www.zanyvideos. com/videos/should_all_us_muslims_carry_a_special_id OK. I've put a gap in the web-address. With reference to the entries below, if anyone wants to see the video they'll have to take the gap between '. and com' out. I must be getting really really old! In the canteen today, one of the dinner ladies shouted, "Egg beans and sausage!" So - without thinking - I began singing the line, "Rum-tiddle-tiddle tum-tiddle-tiddle, scum on the water, lint in your navel and sand in your tea!" and beamed at my colleagues who were awaiting their breakfasts. My short rendition of this massively famous song, The Great Bell by Marty Feldman, was lost on them. "Egg, beans and sausage" is a line from that song. Surely someone else remembers it!!! Or am I the only sad git who does? I did find a version on YouTube - and it still makes me chuckle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt9Jb3FhNA4 Enjoy! …

My kids and the wife saw the latest Cadburys advert on TV recently and were dumbstruck by the "Gorilla" playing the drums - First time the kids have been stopped in mid-sentence because of an advert !!! The media team that thought that one up earned every penny of whatever fee they were paid - apparently it has had over 500,000 "hits" on one of the "YouTube" type sites. Have to admit - it is good. (But so it the product !!!)
