http://uk.news.yahoo.com/itn/20071020/ten-harry-potter-gay-twist-ea4616c_1.html No. It's not a dance. JK Rowling has revealed that Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwort's is gay. [My underlining] I reckon that'll upset Michael Gambon, who played him. As expected, Peter Tatchell has put his oar in. He said: "It's good that children's literature includes the reality of gay people, since we exist in every society. "But I am disappointed that she did not make Dumbledore's sexuality explicit in the Harry Potter book. Making it obvious would have sent a much more powerful message of understanding and acceptance." Excuse me, the both of …

Did anyone see the "Location Location Location: Best & Worst Live?" I was quite surprised to see my town of Chelmsford in 8th place of best places to live, as it crept in amongst places in Surrey & Cambridge. Not bad for an Essex town! I was quite proud! I was not so surprised however, to see my workplace of Newham borough featured as 3rd from bottom! It is not pleasant! Did anyone else see their hometown/workplace featured on there or think that it should have been? Jinkies2007-10-18 16:50:54

http://www.kontraband.com/show/show.asp?ID=2353&CAT=games&rtn=index-potd You might like this. It's not as easy as it looks. You've to keep the descending ball bouncing using the squares you control with your mouse. Ooh! Absolutely seconds of fun for all the...well, just you actually.Graham2007-10-21 09:39:17

We all know about the trials & tribulations of policework. The interminable slog of evidence gathering, the mountains of paperwork...and then they go and run out of those extra-special doughnuts, the ones with the crunchy hundreds & thousands on top. So here is what daily life is really like for those intrepid crimebusters: C.I.D. Graham2007-10-13 20:36:55

1. When his 38-calibre revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach, California, would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked. And now, the Honourable Mentions: 2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat-cutting machine and submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved. 3. A man who shovelled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard …

Clicky. When i read this i immediately thought of this, surely this is symptomatic of chasing those ticked boxes relating to performance scales. Surely a simple word with the parents and child would have sufficed, and as the neighbor i think i would have gone to the parents before the police over something so minor. Now these views are based on what i have read in the article, it may be there are aspects of the case we are unaware of, however, it does seem a waste of police time to me.

What are your memories of the "Great Storm"? or did you like many, Saph included, sleep through it. I was remarkably pi$$ed off as we were nights and hoping for some serious overtime thinking all the transport links in East London were down. Darn if the early turn hadn't all stayed over at the local section house and we were released without earning a penny!!! I took several hilarious phone calls as well as many many trivial ones station officer/PNC bod. "Officer I have just struggled to get my husband in the electric chair and now the power has gone off"....... A strange call which was explained as her husband had (I think) cystic fibrosis and had to ha…
