Poor old Harry wasn't very happy that his home was raided at 0630, in company with newspaper reporters from a well know rag in company with the Fuzz. The City of London Police were investigating corruption in the Premier League. Harry says in his best cockney dialogue, ''it's nothing to do with me guv, I am just helping them as a witness, it's about others''. Yes Harry, we believe you, don't worry, it will all come out in the wash. I don't agree with the Police turning up with newspaper reporters though, it smacks of come and get a good story lads, not very professional.

There is a rather disturbing report on the BBC Newsite that the Fire Service, i.e Warwickshire, could be charged with Corporate Manslaughter, over the 2nd November fire in Warwickshire, when four firemen died. If that happens I can see serious complications when firemen attend a fire. Will the Leading Fireman, or whoever is in charge be prepared to send his men into a burning building to try and save people, if he knows there is a possibility he, or the sevice could be charged if one of his men dies. The Ch Superintendent in charge has indicated that it could take until the end of January before a complete search is finished. As yet they have found no further bodies…

www.theregister.co.uk News emerged yesterday of a mysterious international ID card plan, described by the Tories as "a European-wide identity card project called Project Stork". The Conservatives suggested in Parliament that Stork was a huge Europe-wide extension to the planned UK National ID card with its associated databases and biometrics. "How," asked the shadow Home Sec David Davis, did the government intend to "prevent a repetition of the disaster of the past few weeks when sensitive personal data are held not by one Government but by 27?" The actual Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, seemed a trifle puzzled about what exactly Stork might be ("or Stalk," says…

After all the fuss the NatWest Three made, appealing to the High Court, then the House of Lords, not to be deported to the USA to face fraud charges, in the Enron Case, the ''we have done nothing wrong, and we are totally innocent'' three, have pleaded GUILTY. I hope they get 25 years after all the fuss and bother they made. One of them appeared on TV at least half a dozen times saying how 'innocent' they all were, and why are the US authorities picking on us, it's a pity they don't show those TV clips in the Court Room, and add five years for lying.

Motorist (a solicitor) runs a Stop sign and is pulled over by a very keen young copper. Being a smartass, the motorist thinks that he has to be sharper than any green cop, so he decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the officer's expense:- Officer "Licence please." Solicitor "What for?" Officer "You didn't come to a complete stop at the Stop sign." Solicitor "I slowed down, and no one was coming." Officer "You still didn't come to a complete stop. Licence please." Solicitor "What's the difference?" Officer "The difference is you have to come to complete stop -that's the law. For the last time, licence please!" Solicitor "If you can sh…
