I have always loved photography, thing was with my old Nikon F3 film camera i wasn't much good despite looking the part. When my son was born nearly three years ago i bought myself a new fangled digital camera, thats when i started to really enjoy it. I could now see straight away what the picture looked like, no more waiting for them to get developed. Plus if it was rubbish i simply deleted and tried again. Here a few of my photos, they are in thumbnail format just click on image to enlarge. Taken at my local park. As above. My brothers English Mastiff puppy . About 8 months old i think. A macro shot. Another macro shot. My little boy about a y…

Well I think we can all do with a bit of good cheer right about now, so let me get the ball rolling... "Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN! On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONNER and BLITZEN! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!" A Very Merry Christmas to all, and remember this Christmas, enjoy the simple things....

Was watching one of the many police related "fly on the wall" docs. on TV the other night, when up popped an Inspector (two pips, possibly Liverpool?), with white scrambled egg on the peak of his cap. I thought this was the mark of a Super. or above? I saw the same guy (+ white braid) in a later prog. so can confirm I hadn't imagined the oddity. Any suggestions as to why he might have had his guv'nors hat on?

To continue from the previous posting: . Perhaps a few points addressed? . Unlike other 'practices' the subject may not come under one neat, precise and exclusive heading. The Legal inplications and repercussions that have inhibited the open practice and applications of the "ability" by a "psychic/sensitive" are not examined nor often considered, in as much as the 'WitchCraft Act' of 1735 covered such practices until its repeal in 1950* - the last person allegedly being indicted under its provision beintg Helen Duncan (Regina v. Duncan 1944) - at which time it was replaced by the 'Fraudulent Mediums Act 1951'. Section 4 (1) of the 'Vagrancy Act 1820' was also repeal…

After some careful consideration it has been decided by two very important and clever people (M and Pen) that Butterfly is not old enough to take part in the Wife & Mistress School as she is younger than the age of 20 set by Principle Penbwlch, however it was decided that she is in need of some training and so the JDR (Juvenile Detention Room) has been set up to accommodate her stay in custody M&MBM has set the following task for Butterfly. The results of which are to be posted in this thread so we can decide if the training has worked "You are therefore going to be removed to the youth cell in the NPC block to write a 1000 word essay on the haz…

Yesterday, the fourth, was the two hundreth anniversary of the introduction of Income Tax. It was brought in, at a penny to the pound, to help finance the war against Napoleonic forces, with a promise that it would be removed afterwards. Any chance of these politician types keeping their word?

I have heard it all now, the Senior Nursing Officer at Dewsbury District Hospital has said that the beds of Muslims can be moved to point towards Mecca, so that Muslims and Islamists can uphold their faith while in hospital. Nothing like pandering to the few and the PC Brigade.

I'm annoyed! My brother-in-law has a business in which he drills bore-holes for water for farmers, and then installs irrigation systems. A few weeks ago, he moaned to me about how much his business insurance had gone up in price and the best quote he could get to cover his rig and plant gear and his stock was twelve grand (sorry, I don't have a pound sign on this laptop!). I told him that I had an old university friend, Tanya, who was a broker in the marine insurance business. I said we met up every few weeks for a coffee and a natter and I'd mention it to her and see if she had any ideas. I met Tanya a week or so later and gave her my brother-in-law's phone number. …

Daniel Ratcliffe, 17 years and Kevin Clee. 19 years, were sent to prison yesterday for 7 1/2 and 6years for criminal damage. They threw a 45 lbs slab of masonary from a bridge, onto a train travelling at 50 mph. The driver of the train Joe Paxton suffered 27 fractures, and 2 breaks, and will probably never work again. He said he would like to thank the families of the two for assisting in the police enquiries. Reading between the lines it looks as if the familes showed some parenting responsibilities in helping to turn the boys in. If that was the case, good for them.

My spouse and I are off to London next week because I have an urgent hospital appointment with a specialist at the Charing Cross. Before that, though we are going for a bit of a pampering (massage, manicure etc) at a place I know of and then some serious Christmas shopping. I haven't driven into London for 20 odd years, so I'm not sure where's a good place to park that's not too far from Oxford Street (heavy shopping bags!!), and how do you pay this infernal "congestion charge". Any ideas? Or should we take the train? Brutus

Hi, I saw a very interesting programme about a met copper who decided to rent in london when at work...then buy a farmhouse in france and go there on his rest days!!! incredible, the best of both worlds! just was us hard working bobbies deserve...particuarly with the housing market as it is at present. I would love to hear from anyone else that does this? Does it work....can you have that balance without it becoming a bit problematical..... surley the cost of renting in london alone is expensive enough without ferry / air travel and a mortgage on a foreign gaff as well? please let me know how it can possibly be done! regards, gord.
