John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing. What does everyone think of this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7116401.stm I think it's one of the daftest things I've ever heard! She could have got 40 lashings over the name of a bear, that was chosen by one of the children!!! I understand it's an insult to make an image of the prophet Mohammed, but isn't this taking it a little far?

PS Jill Evans of Dyfed Powis has been going out with, and has had a baby with a conman, who has been involved in five robberies, netting £233,000. Dyfed have investigated her and say she has done nothing wrong, as she didn't know what he was up to. The man is now in prison, and she says she is standing by him. Ugh. I can't see many CC's looking too favourably on that sort of situation. Once a crook always a crook, or nearly always. Full story on BBC Wales website.

Has anyone else come to the conclusion that MP Denis McShane(Labour)is a pompous, arrogant fool. He cannot accept that the Labour leadership have done anything wrong in the last few weeks over the missing CD's, Labour Party cash donations, Northern Rock, etc. On the news this morning all he wanted to talk about was David Ashcroft's donations to the Conservatives, instead of answering questions about his party. He is such a know-all, and clever dick, I don't know if I dislike him more than Hazel Blears, but it's close. McShane was very scathing about John Yates enquiry into the 'cash for honours' enquiry, implying that there was no evidence whatsoever of mis-doings by Bla…
