Click After years of criticism and computer glitches the Child Support Agency is handing over its powers - and responsibility for billions of pounds in unpaid child support - to a new government agency. The Child Maintenance Enforcement Commission takes over responsibility for recovering £3.8 billion in missed maintenance payments. The Commission has pledged to recover £2 billion but has said that the remainder will probably never be paid. ......................... The CSA was set up in the 1980's by the Thatcher government. It was infamous then because there was initially no right of appeal against their decisions. This was changed after a numb…

Click Jacqui Smith, the home secretary, has asked the attorney general to investigate possible "criminal wrongdoing" by the MI5 and the CIA over its treatment of a British resident held in Guantanamo Bay, it was revealed tonight. The dramatic development over allegations of collusion in torture and inhuman treatment follows a high court judgment which found that an MI5 officer participated in the unlawful interrogation of Binyam Mohamed. The MI5 officer interrogated Mohamed while he was being held in Pakistan in 2002. It emerged tonight that lawyers acting for Smith have sent the attorney general, Baroness Scotland, evidence about MI5 and CIA involvement in…

It's come to light that Tony Blair has been doing rather well on the lecture circuit since he resigned as premier. While he's not acting as an envoy to the Middle East for the Madrid Quartet (United Nations, European Union, Russian Federation, USA) he lectures to banks. He's obviously been giving them useful advice, then. Blair charges up to £175,000 per lecture & has made c£12 million since he resigned. Now, to my mind, he wouldn't be in this position unless he'd taken advantage of the opportunity given to him by him being premier for so long, at our expense. If it's right for the oil companies to pay windfall taxes because of their recent gross profits…

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1081125/Help-white-working-class-risk-surge-far-Right-extremists-says-equalities-chief.html This must be the first time Trevor has said anything which can be described as 'almost intelligent'. He usually talks garbage with his self opinionated remarks, usually about how he and his ilk are so down trodden and victimised.

I have just been speaking to my brother on the telephone. He informed me that he took his wife and children to a well known 'themed' restaurant in London last night for a meal. They were sat in a back corner where they waited 45 minutes for their order to be taken, and then a further hour for the food to arrive. When the food did arrive, half of it was missing. The meal was not good (it was actually cold when it arrived) and he had to send his rare steak back twice as it was well done. When the bill was brought to the table by their waiter, he 'informed' them that it was expected that they add 15% onto the bill to cover his tip. My brother advised the waiter that he deci…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7694408.stm Is this more spin from our useless Home Secretary. She didn't do much about Hamza and his hook, nor did any other Labour Home Secretary. Reid, Clarke, Straw, Blunkett, all had a go at being Home Sec, but didn't do much to prevent these obnoxious people from enetering the UK, or trying to kick them out. I expect this effort by Kebab will 'die a natural'.
