My great great grandad was a rich man. He had done well on the stock market and had a fair few country houses. He was also a very generous man as epitomised by the scene on his deathbed Now having many houses means the upkeep on them is phenomenally difficult. How much you say? Well back then, you'd have a gardener, a maid and a butler, as well as a nanny, a few lesser servants and who knows? Maybe a lady of the night for good measure. On his final day the butler, main kitchen maid and gardener were called to be outside his room for the final goodbyes. The butler of the main estate, where my great great grandad was dying. was called into his room for a private word. …

Click Hutton pledge over Army equipment Failures to provide British frontline troops with the best possible kit must not be repeated, new Defence Secretary John Hutton said after his first visit to Iraq and Afghanistan. He said the Government must do "everything in our power" to prevent tragedies such as the deaths of 10 men in a Hercules aircraft in Iraq - blamed on a catalogue of "systemic failures" by a coroner this week. My! There really must be an election round the corner. Successive governments have made this same promise & our armed forces are still wanting. I'm cynical enough to say that I'll believe it when I se…

Now listen....Kerry Katona was NOT drunk yesterday on ' This Morning ' ok !! It was her meds from the night before, and that's that. Not Police related ? Yes it is, because all of you Officers out there need to realise that just because someone can't stand up, slurs their words, has one eye looking up and one down, falls over their chair, stinks of ale and has a half empty bottle of gin hanging out of their pocket, it does NOT make them drunk. It was her meds Offisher.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/7681914.stm Bendy-buses with the slogan "There's probably no God" could soon be running on the streets of London. The atheist posters are the idea of the British Humanist Association (BHA) and have been supported by prominent atheist Professor Richard Dawkins. The BHA planned only to raise £5,500, which was to be matched by Professor Dawkins, but it has now raised more than £36,000 of its own accord. It aims to have two sets of 30 buses carrying the signs for four weeks. The complete slogan reads: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life. I would say, I believe that there is a God.…

Click Iran failed Friday to register what it said would be the world's largest sandwich in the Guinness book of World Records after people rushed forward and began eating it -- before it was measured. After everything calmed down, it was realized that the crowd was in fact one very fat man. Iranian police released a description of a fat white man they'd like to interview, thought to be a northern English MP, seen waddling away, wiping his mouth with a napkin. Alright. I made that last bit up.

This afternoon, i watched 200 people walk past my pad, demonstrating about free Kurdistan, i am sure a worth whilst cause. So two things, firstly, why demonstrate round here, who, that can do anything about it, will notice? Secondly, is it me or a complete waste of the 50 Police officers time and energy policing this demonstration? A rolling road block, several Police vehicles, and a few on bikes. At least is was not a complete waste of time, i gave out some flyers advertising this site.

Click Minister hit in face by custard pie The outspoken remarks of Immigration Minister Phil Woolas on UK population figures landed him a custard pie in the face. Related photos / videos Minister hit in face by custard pie A pro-migration group staged the stunt as Mr Woolas took part in an environmental debate at the University of Manchester.
