Click Michelle Palmer, 36, of Oakham, Rutland, and Vince Acors, 34, of Bromley, south-east London, were arrested on 5 July in Dubai for public indecency & unmarried sex, after previously being warned about their behaviour by a police officer. Both have since been sentenced to three months imprisonment & fined $350 (£200) & will be deported on completion of their sentences. They could have been given up to six years imprisonment. Their counsel said that they would appeal. Why do people have to let themselves go to this extent when they're in countries were they know this sort of thing is illegal, and after they'd been warned? Di…

Gurkhas are fighting for Justice. They want the same terms and conditions as their UK and Commonwealth counterparts. Britain has had no greater friends than the Gurkhas. They have served all across the world in the defence of our Country for nearly 200 years. Over 45,000 died in the two World Wars as part of the British Army. They are still fighting in the British Army today. You may have seen in the media that the Gurkhas have been fighting in Parliament and the Courts. Step by step, things are getting better - but there is a long way to go. On Tuesday 30th September, the High Court ruled their treatment had been unlawful in terms of the right to live in the UK if the…

I daresay this subject has been aired in one shape or form before, but idle curiosity and frivolity prompt me to ask the question - what is, or was, the most unusual offence you have had to report or arrest someone for? I can't remember the exact offence now, or the legislation covering it, but I once reported someone for something along the lines of: Making a false declaration to obtain a licence to erect a grave headstone ...

Right then, Have a good think before you answer but, of all time, who is the best police officer to appear on t.v or in a film? AND why? My Personal favourites (or ones that spring to mind) are.... John McLean - Die Hard for his one liners AND the fact that he has a catchphrase! YIPEE KYE AAII! (what the hell does that mean?) Sheriff John Burnell - Wildest Police Videos - He's the guy in the tan bomber jacket with the gleaming pearly whites who, in a grainy voiced, humourous tone says things like "This man thought he could get away! The only place he was going....was a 6 by 6 jail cell!" Brilliant!! COME ON!! - Use yer imagination and tell who you think deserves t…

This is a copy of an email I received, and is meant as nothing more than a laugh. Apologies if any offence is caused, it is not meant to...... To the citizens of the United States of America from Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II In light of your failure in recent years to nominate competent candidates for President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. (You should look up "revocation" in the Oxford English Dictionary.) Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas, which she does not f…
