http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1086362/Governments-new-Science-Minister-raises-eyebrows-sixth-sense-claim.html no wonder the country and the Labour Party are in such a state when you have a crank like Drayson working for you. Pity he didn't tell Gollum Brown what was going to happen to the world economy 12 months ago, we may have been able to aviod the Credit Crunch. Another idiot in Gollums government.

DISCRETION ADVISED You're going to get upset reading this, but don't use the link if you're easily offended. Baby P: 60 missed chances A baby boy died from a catalogue of injuries after social workers missed more than 60 chances to remove him from his abusive family. But after the child's mother, her lover and their lodger were convicted over his death, council bosses insisted no one would resign or be sacked. Instead, they tried to shift the blame for Baby P's death, saying that the only chance to save him was missed by a hospital doctor.......

Have spent some time looking through the forums here and they seem to provide quite a lot of good information. I've applied for Strathclyde Police and passed the SET, initial fitness and first interview. I don't think anything will crop up from the background checks (though my dad did receive a caution in 1947 for stealing at the age of 10!!). I've always wanted to go into policing but at 5'6" tall it wasn't possible when I was younger (I'm 45 and so was under the minimum height at the time). Then when the scrapped the height restriction I was in a well paid job and was at the edge of the age restriction that was in at the time! Now I shouldn't need to worry about eit…

Miracle puppy hit by car at 70mph so hard he was embedded in the grill... and survived Few things on Earth can survive being hit by speeding cars at 70mph and left for dead. But this puppy is clearly a special case. The one-year-old pooch was knocked down by driver Marco Menozzi on a side road in Cozze, southern Italy. But in an astonishing twist of fate, Menozzi hit the pup so hard - at 70mph - that he was embedded in the grill under the bonnet of the Peugeot 207. There he managed to cling on until the car eventually stopped - 15 miles later. He survived the ordeal with just a broken leg and some bruising. 'He's a very lucky boy,' said one policeman. 'He was…

Heres a poem by author unknown which fits a decription of how Nu Lab Economic Theory a la Gordo Broone operates... "As Monkey climbs higher up the Tree, The further up his Asshole we can see!" A tad crude, but it describes the 'cr*p' that Pa McBrooney has been dealing us Peasants for the past 11 years or so. A bit like Father Jacks dirty Underwear Basket... It stinketh mightily and heaves like ... well I'll leave that to your imagination. Pa McBroon and his Nu labour pals will also meet their own 'Hadron Collider' soon at the next General Election, when their 'Reality' collides with the real reality of Life!! I think all redundant Ex-La…

http://www.policeoracle.com/news/Officer-Challenges-Long-Service-Timing_17774.html I agree with the officers comments about 20 years, 22 years as a Police Officer must be the equivilent of 40 years as a Fireman, because 20 years of their service is spent sleeping on the job. It appears to me that every officer receives the medal even when they have been disciplined for poor conduct etc. The medal is supposed to be for Long Service and Good Conduct, does anyone know anyone who was refused the medal, I certainly don't.

· “You don't sweat much for a fat lass”.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> · “You remind me of my ex-wife – except you aren’t buried in the cellar” · “Guess where I keep my colostomy bag – no here it is under my arm – go on, give it a squeeze” · “Nice dress. I have one at home just like it." · “So my hand slipped, and the knife cut about half an inch into my thumb, and the blood was gushing all over the place, so I went to the emergency room to have it stitched up, but it kept throbbing, and swelling, and, oh, but I see you're eating." · “No, I don't have a job.
