I was in Icelands shopping yesterday and whoever says Help the aged at Xmas needs their heads examining .......these sly old foxes help themselves and push in at the checkout and will use any underhand tactic to get served first. This one particular old gal made me feel like I wanted to enact a scene from Scum and grab some netted oranges and shout "Wheres ya fcuking tool" !! Is it acceptable to punch a pensioner at xmas ? Going to wander down our local on christmas eve, then its back to mine for champers at midnight. ...to buy a Black and Decker 'automatic' adjustable spanner? I mean, the normal 'manual' adjustable spanner is a one-handed affair at the worst of times. So, instead of using your thumb to twiddle a worm-screw, you press a button and it does the same thing......... Ridiculous waste of sodding time. Although, if they did it in tactical black, I'd buy one - but only if it had the words 'Tactical' written on it and it was made of titanium, or have carbon fibre on it.

Michael Portillo has written a thoughtful article about Britain and its announced withdrawal from Iraq, where he states that Britain has lost its "stomach for a fight." I believe that he writes about some very important issues and poses quite a few things to think about. It is too bad that he is not in a more prominent decision making role now, in my opinion. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article5375770.ece Batman27362008-12-21 14:01:01

Shepherd controls flock with wolf poster A picture of a shepherd controlling his flock with a poster of a wolf has become an online hit in China. Du Hebing, of Xi'an, told Huashang Daily that he shot the picture by chance. "After visiting Qinling Wild Animal Park, on the way home I saw a group of sheep walking along the road with a man holding a picture following behind them," he said. Du said he burst out laughing when he realised it was a picture of a wolf. "The man was using the wolf picture to scare the sheep and drive them ahead - it was a really funny scene," he said. "Maybe he was just trying to save some money by not buying a sheepdog - but he is obviousl…
