Just about sums up Gollums attitude to anyone who asks an awkward question.

I got told recently from my mum's friend that her next door neighbor used to be in the police. He apparently quit and joined his local council and started working for them because he said the police force was not paying enough. What the hell was he thinking? He definitely isn't worth being in any police force in the UK I personally feel. Why would someone do that? I suppose it is a benefit to the police since all he wanted was the money. Your Thoughts?

When this woman mentioned foreigners coming to this country i took her as a person who was thinking of voting BNP. She may not be one, but at times sure sounded like one.

It isn't the reponsibility of the Government to get them home. As much as I detest Brown, it's not his fault. All these people saying they have had no help from the government, they went on holiday or away on business, it's their job to get themselves home, not NuLabours. Get a life folks, stop moaning. They will all be moaning next because they get their pay stopped for not being back at work, tough.

I have just read that the British crime Survey indicates that there has been a 1% increase in violent crime - which, apparently, according to Home Office isn't statistically significant. Apart from my natural cycnicism that the 1% has been suppressed, it occurred to me that the increased 1% of the population who have been murdered, stabbed, stomped etc might find little comfort in knowing that they are not statistically significant! There are days when I wonder if bureaucrats ever engage their brains before opening their mouths!OldAfricaHand2010-04-23 15:08:29

How many Police Officers does it take to change a light bulb? Answer - 5. 1 to change the bulb and 4 to whinge about it and slag off the top brass!! Or maybe should be - you wont get a Police Officer to change bulb as theres no detection in it.

I've had a few. Getting letters of thanks from members of the public for a job well done is one of them... but last night I attended our HQ to be presented with a Commendation by the Chief Superintendent in charge of my department for a piece of work involving the locating of a high risk injured missing person. That was a very proud moment.
