... why, it comes from the supermarket vacuum packed, my love. What? Kill the lamb? Oh no my little sweetiepie. That would never do, because the countryside is Disneyesque where animals are humans and everyone is fluffy, and the countryside is a theme park where fluffybunkins play. size 16 girl In Miss England Final Chloe Marshall, a 17-year-old ex-beautician from Surrey, is set to turn modelling convention around by becoming the first ever size 16 girl to take part in a Miss England final. The BBC suggests she's making history which, in the week that America got healthcare reform and the UK launched a new space agency, seems like a fair assessment. Is our language being dumbed down? I saw this headline and it made me wince. 'Frozen?' As in frozen in the permafrost? What is wrong with the word 'petrified'? Is it because the journalist's command of English is limited, or does he believe that the British Public are too dim to understand the word 'petrified'? If the British Public are too dim to understand such words, it's because they are gradually dropping out of usage. Unless used frequently by the media, we will lose such words, and that would be a shame.

The richest, most powerful generation that ever lived is embarking on a comfortable retirement. But why does it feel like they've pulled up the ladder with them? As the first wave of baby boomers approach retirement age - it's 65 years since the first were born, in 1945 - the bill for clearing up these disasters will be paid by their children. The charge from an increasing number of commentators, politicians and pressure groups, not to mention young people themselves, is that baby boomers mortgaged their children's future for their own short-term benefit. Comparing the lifestyles of these generations, it's hard to disagree. Baby boomers collectively own close to £500b…

LOVE this series and have been eagerly awaiting it's return! Just for a bit of sport, what do you all think is going to happen? Is Sam going to return? And why is that bobby who ended up beneath the concrete last series lurking with half a face?
