Is anyone else a fan of HDR photograph? For those that don't know, HRD or High Dynamic Range photography is the technique of allowing greater range between the darkest and lightest areas of an image. The technique involves taking several photos with differing contrast ratios and merging them together using software such as photoshop to create one photo containing different contrasts. Some examples of this are; More Examples HDR is possibly my favourite form of artwork, so I thought I'd give it ago myself. So off my mate with his Honda Civic and I with my Megane went and headed in to Manchester to grab some snaps. Tips and feedback welcome

I'm updating my CV to included my Special Constabulary role with the British Transport Police. Whilst my heart is set in wishing to join full time the wait for vacancies is set up to be for a year and over. So, it's time to see if the jobs that are out there can tie me over till employment in the police starts again. However, how do you sum-up your Special Constabulary role on a CV? Your existing skills are improved, whilst you have skills which comes only with your (new) role, handcuffing or running after someone with CapTor in your face might be impressive but may scare off your employer. Does the "don't employ him, he's a copper!" still or ever existed? Can you get …

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-12309654 A man was caught on a covert infra-red camera performing a sex act on a horse at a stable in Devon. Derek Woods was caught when he triggered alarms at the stable which had been set up by police after they were alerted by the animal's owner. Woods, 26 and originally from Glasgow, admitted charges of animal cruelty and one of committing a sex act on a horse. Sentencing him to a supervision order, the judge said Woods had acted in a deviant and depraved way. Police were first alerted by the horse's owner in December 2009 when she found Woods asleep in a barn. Fake CCTV cameras and a loud alarm were installed in …

1) Your standing outside a pub late at night along with many colleagues, your expecting the normal Friday night trouble. A bloke comes up to you and tips a glass of water over you, i suspect you would naturally arrest him. Now, let us suppose same situation except it is pouring down with rain, your soaked to the skin and no sign of a let up in the rain. Would you still arrest this bloke? 2) You stop a vehicle for no insurance, and explain how this persons vehicle is about to be towed away. The person is allowed to gain their belongings, this person takes out for the boot of vehicle four new tyres, the person tells you these tyres of for the other vehicle they own and i…

Tommy Sheridan, former MP and leader of the Scottish Socialist Party, has been jailed for 3 years after being convicted of perjury. STORY HERE. Not sure if the original news item featured south of the border, but after a story printed in the News Of The World, Tommy took legal action against the paper and during the subsequent defamation trial, he lied on oath. A later perjury trial ended in conviction and as of today, he is heading to the pokey. Good riddance Tommy.

Today is a full moon, and there seems to have been unusual troll activity. Is "lunacy" a myth, ie is this just coincidence, or is it a real effect? If it is a real effect, is it due to gravitational fields affecting the body or the brain in some way, do you think? I'm thinking along the lines of heavy metals interferring with neurotransmitters. http://www.springerlink.com/content/t32487047v811r45/ Don't mind me... brain's rambling.
