Whether it’s tools, electronics, or hobby gear, feel free to list it here! Okay so your in the supermarket, shopping with your new girlfriend, when all of a sudden, your ex girlfriend turns up and slaps your new flame straight across the face, followed by a torrent of abuse.. What action would you take?

What is your favourite film of all time and why? Mine is... 'Bridge on the River Kwai' - Alec Guinness, William Holden, Jack Hawkins. I think the film captures the best and worst of us humans when struggling with adversity. The musical score is quite something too and totally sets every scene in the film.

Matt Delito, Gizmodo UK's 'Notes from the front line' cop bloggers post this week deconstructs the definition of "theft" http://www.gizmodo.c.../2012/08/theft/ I'm posting it seperately from the original threads here: http://www.policespe...he +front +line and http://www.policespecials.com/forum/index.php?/topic/123498-new-police-blog-on-gizmodo-uk/page__hl__%2Bpolice+%2Bblog because the comments offer lots of 'what ifs' and replies which may be of interest to any newer officers and because I think the break down of the definition deserves to be highlighted over and above the usual stories he posts.

So I managed to fail my driving test today because of another fantastic driver! Was stopped at the give way lines on a roundabout waiting for a safe opportunity to go of which even the examiner agreed I was in the right to wait as it was not safe to do so although the lovely man behind me thought it would be a great idea to sit in his horn and then follow me around the roundabout swearing and giving me the finger AND refused to let me off the roundabout meaning I nearly hit the centre of it thus failing! If only I had some blue lights in that learner car so I could have stuck him on for dangerous driving and section 5 grrrr

*Breaking News* The usual panel of judges for Sports Personality Of The Year have all just quit because they wouldn't have been able to narrow down the possible people to a 10 person short list let alone pick winners for the other awards. My nerves are shot after tonight, Long jump, rowing, cycling, Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah.....then the penalties at Cardiff! Simply amazing night of sport and an amazing Olympics. Did you all watch Jessica Ennis' medal ceremony? The atmosphere in the stadium was intense, 80,000 people belting out GSTQ was enough to bring a tear to many an eye. On a side note, anyone want to make predictions for Sports Personality Of The Year? I've got it…

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2181351/Anthea-Turners-husband-Grant-Boveys-new-lover-Zoe-Mallet-Morgan-Facebook-links-daughter-.html So it's OK for Anthea(creepy)Turner to take Grant Bovey(Mr Conceited)from his first wife, but when anther woman steals Bovey from Anthea, we are all expected to feel sorry for her, because her poor 'ittle heart is broken'. Get a life Turner, it's called Karma. Now you know how it feels to have someone stolen from you, you don't like it when the boot is on the other foot.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2188602/Teacher-63-tried-giving-worst-pupil-40-years-clip-round-ear-attacked-pupils.html Well done to a sensible Magistrate, but it should never have got this far. Pity someone in the CPS didn't have the balls to say NFA in the first place. I expect the boys parents are the type to complain, even though they obviously didn't bring him up properly.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/transport/9476519/Richard-Branson-attacks-Government-insanity-after-Virgin-Trains-loses-West-Coast-rail-contract.html Poor old sour grapes Branson, the man who loves himself so much, if he had love-bites they would be self inflicted. Virgin trains are rubbish, no leg room if you are taller than John Bercow, never run on time, and are dirty. Branson isn't the brains behind anything he runs, his airline is run by people with airline industry knowledge, not by him, he just likes standing on the tailplane holding an Air Hostess, and telling everyone how good he is. I just wonder what he will do with his trains, park them in…

Folks, I and/or my colleagues shouldn't have to be going in to your posts and removing unnecessary profanity, disguised or otherwise. We are meant to be professionals and be able to express ourselves on a website in the view of the world (including your gran and your Chief Constable) without resorting to swear words here there and everywhere. If we're unable to construct a post without having to use them, I am saddened. Please desist. Profanity on PS.Com can only be accepted where you are reporting or quoting directly.
